I love this deck but don't qualify (Red, free blue, Black). I get this uneasy feel that this campaign is starting to be a money grab at reasonable-ish costs. (Looking at you COLLEGE CARDS.)
I know Lee is making great variety of decks but I wish I knew of them all to start with vs this slow release.

My pledge was 40 pounds (shipping included) up until last night. My card collecting friend told me about the new decks so I checked and I realized I fell short - but I read the rules and such and nothing said I could not increase the pledge - so I updated my pledge total to include a marked deck and a non-gilded red then the PR. I sent him a message asking if it's ok and he replied a few hours ago saying it's all good. So just saying you may still have a chance if you are willing to increase your pledge.

I know I can add decks but I don't want to be pressured to pledge to a certain amount ($71 I think Vasta said) just to add a deck upping my pledge even higher.

I know Lee is thrilled to know people appreciate his work, as I do, but I have to draw the line monetarily somewhere.

This is a great deck! Always loved Lee's work for sure.

I'm 99.99% sure these are not metal lux. Unless USPCC has changed its Metal Luxx policy, they won't allow you to print a Metal Luxx design over any type of design that is not a solid color as they can't ensure the registration of the foil to the design. Also, they won't allow you to do both sides either (again unless they have changed their policy) He could pull off the back in Metal Luxx but registering the foil designs around say the pips would be a "no go" for USPCC as they couldn't guarantee registration.

All of what I said is from my own experiences with USPCC and using Metal Luxx with the Black Diamond Tally-Hos. They very well could have changed their policy since then.

With that said, Lee, if this isn't Metal Luxx you gotta be really careful with how you illustrate metallic inks in your conceptual renderings. These images made me feel the same way as a lot of people that this was all foil. If it is then AWESOME!!! it's gonna be a steller deck if USPCC can pull it off, if it's not be sure to communicate that clearly with your backers or you will have some confusing peeps when they receive the deck. (grant it, he could have explained it clearly on the Kickstarter page, I'm only going off this thread and not the info on Kickstarter)

I do get that in the illustrations the cards look like they are using foil. However, it also says "Gold Ink", so I got that it is just metalic ink. I do think that it would be best to tone down the rendering so as not to give the impression of foil.

In any event, it really is a nice design and am glad to be participating in another playing card designed by Lee. I am just surprised he is making it with USPCC and not giving them the bird and going somewhere else.

Regarding the coin: I'll be picking one up. I used to never get coins, but, well... Jackson designed some amazing coins with the Fed 52 series, so I picked up a couple of those, and then there were a couple here and there for other projects that also looked good, and the next thing you know, I'm a card cover coin collector despite my best intentions. (I also used to play poker on a regular basis at local home tournaments, and some of the players and I loved to compare our cover coins. It's a thing.)

That said, Lee's previous coin is top notch, but I disagree that it's the best out there. Jackson, Randy, Rick, and Jody have produced some truly exceptional work, and Chris Ovdiyenko, Gio, RJ, Lorenzo, and a few others can more than hold their own. Chris O. even did a series that was not related to playing cards (his Hobo Coins) that are a great deal of fun. If Lee's coin(s) bring you into the tent, you'll find a lot of other amazing coins on display. Come on in! You have nothing to lose but what's left of your savings.

Hi Richard, I'm sorry if it looks confusing....metallic gold ink is very difficult to express visually using only graphics ( all picytures are digital mock ups, not the real thing). All faces are using only metallic gold inks, not foil. Digitally it can just looks like flat cream or brown of I didn't add the mettallic flecks. Based on the ink I want to use with USPC, it's one of the more shinier metallics I've found and so hopefully will be produced as metallic as possible, instead of dull coffee color, which I've seen on some others. Hope this helps, thanks. (also, foil on faces would make it much more expensive to make)

Actually TWI/Gio does this metallic ink fades quite a bit. So I have a good sense of what it would look like. Less pop than the mock ups suggest, but still pretty decent.

With 5 decks possible, this is an expensive one. I like the idea but I need a hint before adding any more to this pledge. Based on price, it's not another deck.

There are not a ton of decks, especially gilded, that are rare in my opinion with 888 decks issued. That is a lot of high value/cost decks. A lot of playing card collectors will avoid most cards at that kind of price point.

That said, I do like this series and that deck, so I quickly grabbed my one.

I didn’t go in for a brick, just a double of each, or four decks. That was enough to get early access to claim an 888. Also, Lee did clarify that the cards have metallic ink, not foil. Even so, I think they will be nice.

Well well well, latest update from the Royales says that the 888 Private Reserves will have "not just the back foiled in gold, BUT ALL of the intricate gold face details throughout the entire deck too." Looks like a thank you to the backers for being patient, although I doubt anyone begrudges Lee taking his sweet ass time with the state of the world as it is. Looks to me like he's just being a generous dude

So that's nice.

I received my decks today. I didn't know the white reserved decks would come with a nice white case. The gilded wasn't perfect but I'm satisfied with the inks on the faces and backs of the cards.

I believe it is only pledges that have a gilded Royales Players Rouge Ltd Ed. that are delayed (further).

Received mine few days ago! Haven't opened them yet, but I definitely plan to open the Rouge and Noir edition. Probably open the reserve 888 edition later

I'm sorry, I don't know. Fulfillment has started and some backers are still awaiting because there were some delays with gilding of the Rouge Players Edition decks. Backerkit is already closed and I'm assuming the Midnight Blue Classic Edition (not pictured) probably will be available on Lee's website and maybe the Rouge Ks edition which were numbered to 2500 (assuming not all of 2500 went to backers or maybe resellers ) All of the 888 Reserve editions were 1 max per backer (for backers who pledged £54 GBP or more). Few had remained which were released in batches to all backers Backerkit. I was lucky to get a chance to add it (my total pledge was not £54 GBP or over). So maybe someone might sell it down the line or someone backed more than 1 when it opened up in batches and sell it later.

I had some fun researching what I actually ordered again. It seems my memory is not so great. I was able to pick up a second 888 during the backerkit process. Can't wait to get my hands on these beauties. It should be soon now.

Apparently the Mystery Addons are a very cool solid Brass Key chain of the AOS and a Standard Parlor Back Royales (not in the Kickstarter).

I myself added 2 $10 packs so probably missing the new deck which sucks a bit but i also have high hope that we can get this one from his shop later.

Very nice standard uspcc, the monotone back looks nice to me too.
