Besides the decks I really appreciate the interaction with Jackson in here and on instagram. I did like the old joker since it is a nice one but like written before, for this deck the second draft is way better fitting. Awesome improvement.

It's the Joker from the Steamboats #199 deck by SPCC (Standard Playing Card Manufacturing Company).
I guess 52+ uses it because SPCC was located and based in Chicago and they have a big connection to a chicago based card club (I'm possibly totally butchering this but hey, I'm a fresh member so I don't know the whole history yet :D ).
Great jester and I love the modifications, but I somehow would have wished, like hsbc, for a different joker, that is more fitting to the courts as well. Still one of my favourite KWP decks ever. The courts are just too good, imo.
Would love to hear if somebody knows if that one-two-way-style was done before in the past?
Any other decks you know of which uses this joker? Really like it. Would love to see jackson make a deck with this joker, but I agree, not on this one, it doesn't fit. Not sure if I'm such a fan of the newer jokers either though, maybe I'd prefer to see the second jokers with the colors of the first one, but that's probably not a good suggestion. Or the first joker with the colors of the second one? Maybe that'd be better

Both my Maduro deck, my 52 Plus Joker deck both use the Joker.

I quite like that suggestion. I like the fresh colours of the first joker more and I would have loved to see the details (cash and tickets) being featured on the new Joker as well.

For the Joker, besides the OG and Jackson's Maduro and 52+J deck. I'm not aware of any other deck that features it. I highly recommend the Maduro one though. He looks pretty chill with his cigars :D .

Yeah, I think you're right, the colour palette of the first one matches the deck better, the white circle was the only thing not fitting for me, and the style of the joker as well. The deck has an 'old' theme to it, but for me both the joker design feel like a different 'old' then the rest of the deck, which doesn't really match. The rest of the deck looks awesome though. Looking at that KoS is a real joy, everything on that card fits together.

The maduro deck is the next one I'm opening, that's quite clear. I'll just have to wait for the end of lockdown, in Belgium it probably won't be until the 3th of may

The Joker logo was used by Randy Butterfield on the card backs of the 52plus Joker 2018 Club Deck, which is an amazing deck and if you haven't seen it, you should definitely check it out. ;)

I've had a quick glance at the joker+ 52 club decks, these decks were on my wishlist. They just advanced a few places in the 'what should I get first'-ranking, knowing now probably a lot of them incorporate that joker in their design. Stupid of me not to have thought of this before.

I must say this has been a particularly good year of offerings from KW this year. The only letdown for me would the the Bicycle series which continued the already overdone Americana series.

Well, to be fair, I do recall it being mentioned that the Bicycle series are going to be similar to his Tally Ho series. So if you caught that, you'll get a good idea of what it's going to be like if you go thru the Kickstarter project pages.

I am a bit torn with this deck. I just got mine in the mail and I am so stunned by the card backs and the design. I love the side-by-side courts and that green gilding and this theme is so well-executed. However, the tuck is a flat, glossy tuck. No embossing or foils or interior printing - just a basic tuck. I am curious if he didn't have Clove Street involved with this tuck or why no extra features were included like I would typically expect with Jackson's premium decks. The design of this deck is flawless and I am so happy to have this in my collection but the tuck, while it does look amazing, is a let-down in the feature department...

From the instagram picture I can tell it is a standard EPCC tuck. The glued sides reveal that.
I was bummed about the fact that Jackson went full EPCC on that deck as well and wrote this in the comments of said post. He replied that it was due to the shutdown of everything.
I'm not a subscriber, so I won't say f**k the timeline would have been the better option - but yah, f**k the timeline next time 😂.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it'll be so successful that it gets an USPC reprint with Clove St.Press tuckbox.

I really like this deck. The design, the colors, everything. I usually keep an extra deck to open if possible, and this one is a card night favorite with my family. This and Blue Ribbon. Oh and Postage Paid. This years offerings from Jackson have been so creative and original. I don't know how you do it Jackson. You're like the Elon Musk of playing cards. Really looking forward to the Robin Hood decks. Well done sir!

Just saw the new posts from @kingswildproject...
It didn't bother me in the beginning but now after 🥓wise brought it up again, the standard EPCC tuck box starts to rub me the wrong way... 🧐

Was clove street shut down during the last few months? Maybe that is a reason he went with the epcc tuck

I finally received these and agree that the style is great and I love the artwork. Put the cards do not handle well. USPCC always handles great right out of the box. These you have to work them significantly before they actually start to flow in your hands. I know this is nitpicking but I still don’t think that the EPCC’s quality is up to par.

What's NEW for these 2026 General Admission (based on holding the OG on my hands to compare with photos of the New):
  • The custom numbered seal for the OG only stated what number you have and is square shaped and stamped properly, while the New seal stated what number you have OF total decks and is in customized shape and stamped diagonally out of bound.
  • The Gilded Edition tuck box: the New one is chaotic - it's like a printing offset error kind of look.
  • The faces on the New one have holographic foil elements. Hence, the Gilded Edition of the New one have holographic foil gilding.
PS: I believe Jackson revisits his old designs to have them remastered and printed with his own printer so new collector's can have a taste of his golden years of designing. Which I am grateful, as this move allowed me to have his Nutcracker Playing Cards I've longing to see
