I'm sure it will be overwhelmingly popular... but no big deal for me - since I've never seen an episode I will not know what I am missing.

Do we have another Gamblers Warehouse or Collectable Playing Cards coming in on the scene? I thinking to many middle men.

Why not come up with original deck ideas like everyone else does instead of trying to profit off of famous movies and shows? Even worse they are making it so that those outside the US can't back any of their projects, their loss.

Victor you are beginning to diss on everything again. What Albino does is their own prerogative, they have a good formula so why not go with it. And honestly you still need good illustrations to make the deck work even with the movie franchise. Justs feels like you are a little butthurt that you cant get the decks.

Not at all, if anything i'll be saving money, it's their loss. Or I can just get someone else to get them for me.

And I apologize for my comment if anyone felt it was out of line. This is a public forum, people should have the ability to express their opinions.

I think you misunderstand, im just stating that you are beginning to be negative again, of course thats your opinion and im not censoring it or anything, just reminding you that perhaps that isnt the road you wanna walk down again. I too apologise for my last line, perhaps that was a little inappropiate as well.

But i would like to say again that the illustrations are what ultimately drives a deck, no movie, tv series can lift a deck if it looks like poop.

I feel for internationals. But I for one am VERY excited they're working on as many licenses as they can get their hands on. Those are some heavy hitting licenses there and I remain hopeful that some day they'll be able to grab the huge licenses like DC, Marvel, Disney, Cartoon Network.

I need a Freakazoid deck! :ugdance:

They can get all the licences they want. If they can't sell them outside the US their customer base will still be relatively small. Look at the Ghostbusters deck, only made like $15K or so, should have done a lot more than that.

Remember they are working on licenses for other countries over time and using distributors. I would argue doing a licensed deck can be harder than a new idea, just more initial legal work vs a single idea. Once that is done You also then have to transpose it to a new medium a nod make it work. That's not easy either.

It's a good niche market and something they are getting good at. Not lazy at all. My only concern is the same tired cartoonish look which seems to be departed for wizard of oz.

Eric has already publicaly stated that he no longer wants to ship Internationally. I am able to ship to family members in the US and have them passed on to me but not everyone has that option. It's a shame but I do understand the hassle that USPS makes it to ship out of the US.

I heard about Breaking Bad for so long, never did make time to watch it on Netflix. The Mortal Kombat deck will be a must-see.

Well that confirms that he doesn't seem to care about international customers. Obviously he's not going to bother getting licences outside the US then. Well looks like I will be saving some money, no more AD decks for me, unless I decide I really want it.

I agree about the overly cartoony decks. This is why I didn't get the Princess Bride decks, even though those were available internationally.

So he should get the international licences even though it's not financially sound for him to do so? That makes no sense. Yes, he's limiting his customer base but only shipping domestically is probably a lot safer and easier. Making decks with well-known established themes is already a safer bet than making generic artsy decks, so he's obviously not a betting man. Hypothetically, making an investment where you get anywhere from 20-30 % payoff vs one with anywhere from 10-40 %, I would probably too take the safer route.

This might be a good thing for resellers such as JP and Playingcardz.net if they can make a deal with Albino Dragon to purchase in bulk. They'll be the primary go-to guys for internationals.

Sinjin can probably confirm or deny this (IANAL, he is), but I'm sure resellers could get into trouble for doing that. People selling to each other is likely less of an issue even if they "get caught", but those who run a business (I would assume) might cause some bad consequences.

I'd have to agree. Selling unlicensed decks in bulk could end up being bad for business.
