Concerning and thanks for bringing this up. I messaged the person I bought them from in the meantime and took the auction down. I'm really not sure why they are sealed. The ones I originally bought from the npccd site back in 2017 don't have cello but I don't know now if I took it off or not back then. Does anyone else have these decks sealed this way?

I asked a few folks who are way more familiar with Alex's earlier decks and those were sold without cellophane. One even said he helped Alex distribute those decks at the convention.

I don’t think Lotrék every cellophane sealed any of the Signature Charmers /240. These can in bags and I have two to prove it.

If people are starting to cellophane on their own and sell them off as New/Sealed it is very concerning for the hobby.

It’s nice to have been in the hobby for quite some time to recognize these issues. And clearly sealing the NCPPD decks is definitely an issue.

Those x/240 Charmers were originally in baggies. Cellophane would mean someone opened it and then resealed.

Spoke to the seller. They confirmed they cellophaned the decks themselves just for extra protection. Didn't have any issue with me taking the cello off (would've been a red flag if he said don't do it!). I bought 5 npccd decks from them, and I opened the bronze one (not the one I'm selling). The cards inside are real, they're not like cheap Bicycle cards or anything like that. I removed the cellophane from the rest of them, and they're all sealed. So I am confident they're not tampered with and the cello was just extra protection like seller says. I'll take new pictures of the two I was selling and list them tonight. Thanks everyone for the help!
