Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Has anyone received a production update lately? Any movement on Year 2 Patreon? Last weekly update I got was back in March. Looking at Patreon there have been some updates since but they are locked to me. I thought they were going to go to all, including former Patreon members, but perhaps not.
Also any updates on Epiphany?

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
No new updates on Patrons Vol. II, but I (maybe prematurely) assume it has been cut and varnished by now. Both versions (public and year 2) of Epiphany have been progressing. The last update on April 1st stated the following regarding Epiphany: “We finally started and the first batch is the hearts. We need to print the 3rd foil to complete the hearts figures but the cards already look great, even with the two foils!” I don’t think he would mind posting these pictures here, as I believe they were intended for all those awaiting year 2 rewards to see.

Debatable. The gold with the bronze stock definitely gives it an old antiquey vibe that I quite like.

After “New Penny” will the next version say “Newer Penny”?
What happens after they use “Newest Penny”?

I thought they were clever to call it a New Penny, knowing that it would eventually be simply a penny again

Henry's a very trusted source in the community so people may seem more comfortable with his auctions than buying on Ebay.
As for Crypt, I was trying to say that I like the 2 colors that are used for the card backs. As for the face cards, they're done pretty well too because of the theme/look/texture of the cards. If somebody were to pay $300+ for them, they would not be disappointed.

I wish the side of the tuck said something along the lines of "Ex Libris" to denote the series when placed upright. "Patrons Edition" feels too generic and normally works on tucks, but these were meant to be inspired by books.

We are going to print only the number of decks that will be sold during this period (plus some extras for safety) and this edition will not be available again.

We are excited to introduce...
ROYAL PLAYERS! Seducing luxury at an affordable price!
We are printing this deck as a production test for a new printer that we are planning to collaborate with, and add them to the team of printers working for us, so that we can double our production speed and kiss goodbye our notorious delays!
ROYAL PLAYERS is designed in such a way that even if the printer's performance does not meet 100% our requirements for accuracy in registration, the deck will still be beautiful and functional.
The deck will be printed on a bronze metallic stock, featuring two foils on the back and one foil on the face cards. The courts are our latest version of the standards.
Tuck box will have 2 foils plus embossing.
ROYAL PLAYERS being a test, is a unique opportunity for anyone who cannot afford our more expensive productions, to get an equally beautiful and haunting item at a much lower price!
Although ROYAL PLAYERS is a test, it is NOT a test print! In the sense that there will be no "test" edition and then an "official" edition. It is an one-off to check our new printer's performance in a real deck.
The deck costs €55 SHIPPED and the presale will last exactly one week. We are going to print only the number of decks that will be sold during this period (plus some extras for safety) and this edition will not be available again.
Thank you,
Lotrek

It looks good, it looks like fancy pub wallpaper but those wallpapers are beautiful.
Strange to say "ROYAL PLAYERS is designed in such a way that even if the printer's performance does not meet 100% our requirements for accuracy in registration, the deck will still be beautiful and functional." They must have concerns about registration LOL are they using USPCC

But can we find another playing card on the market with 2 hot foils on the back and one on the front? Don't get me wrong, they're not a frugal purchase, but when you're the only one on the market who can create these kinds of decks at the level Lotrek can, you can end up charging for it.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Absolutely there are other decks from other designers with multiple foils. He's not unique in that. Its his intricacy with the foils that make him unique. And this ain't that. Plus its a new printer, so we have no idea how these will turn out.kevork wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 12:44 amBut can we find another playing card on the market with 2 hot foils on the back and one on the front? $50us would be reasonable - is that free shipping. That would be $70au
When I go to Oath it is €55 which is $90au ($58.50us) WHICH IS TOO MUCH

For the public it's €55 and for patrons it's €50. Shipping included. And now that he's using Henry to fulfill his US sales, they are packed really well and shipped efficiently. I hope he continues to use Henry. I know myself and others kept suggesting it to him for some time now.
EDIT: I think that JazzBaloo guy was on my YouTube channel, obscenely calling out my previous post on here. What a dweeb.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
A take coming from "anyone who cannot afford our more expensive productions", €55 is still not an entry point I'm willing to bite, for a single deck. Add to it the expectation that this will take a year or two to get done.
He even have cheaper "players editions" which are very affordable but looks nothing special at the same time that you wouldn't want to buy it anyway (that speaks volume on how lotrek's magic is pretty much tied to lots of foiling).
Still waiting for the Kickstarter project.

I think "affordable" was the wrong word to use lol. It certainly isn't cheap but as Kev said, the price includes shipping which makes this a bit more palatable for anyone who decided to bite.Disenchanted_11 wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 3:06 am A take coming from "anyone who cannot afford our more expensive productions", €55 is still not an entry point I'm willing to bite, for a single deck. Also the era of Lotrek's infamous delays appear to be in the rearview. His communication still isn't great but at least he's keeping to his timelines for now (knock on wood).

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
A side note, this Royal Players edition is Lotrek testing the new printer to see if they can handle the level of foil registration that his designs require. The earlier one couldn't, so this is a new one. If this one works, it will mean Lotrek now has 2 reliable printers that he can use for foiling his decks and reduce the waiting time.
How soon? Soon enough, that all pending years' patreon rewards can be done by end of 2026 (if the stars align and don't punish Lotrek for his hubris in daring to tempt fate again
) . Even if not, it means 2027.
Ex Libris so far, for the last 2 months, has shown that he can deliver simple foiled decks on a monthly basis. Can he keep it up? Time, as always, will tell, especially when it comes to Lotrek
