It showed as a broken link when I tried to post it as a Kickstarter. If one of the moderators could kindly fix this.

My deck arrived today! :ugdance:

My tuck and cards all look fine to me. They aren't the best handling cards, but who cares. I love them! And yes, I did open this deck. :D

These are now for sale :D
The Great Parade tarot:

Prices including P&P:

UK: £31.80
Europe: £38.55
Canada / Japan: £41.00
Australia / NZ: £42.45
USA: £41.75

A pack of 78 tarot cards by Ian Cumpstey with imagery closely following early Italian tarot styles.

The cards are all text-free, so the cards work as a visual iconographic language.

The original line artwork was all hand-drawn with pen and ink at the same size as the final printed cards. The colouring was done with gouache paint.

The cards are printed at a size of 62 x 100 mm on smooth black-core playing card stock, and are delivered in a custom printed tuck box. The cards were printed in Italy in 2022.

New edition!

I don't collect tarot decks but I'm tempted.

If you are already familiar with the first edition of these cards and are mainly interested to hear "what's new", the changes for the new edition are summarised as follows: Some of the lower-numbered pip cards are fancier, with flower-leaf decorations or fancier pips (or both). There may be one or two minor differences in the linework elsewhere as well. Also there are new colours, and a different colouring method, a new box design, and a different printer.

The cards will be printed at a size of 62 x 100 mm on black-core cardstock, smooth finish. The cards will be delivered in a custom printed tuck box. The cards will be printed by Ivory Graphics (in England).

I am so glad that I weakened (got them along with my Ancient and Modern decks order)
I LOVE THEM
There was no explanation card for 'the parade' so thanks hsbc for the pic of that from V1

I still need help with the extra court character, there being 4 for each suit, so who are the extra, pictured below, along with the obvious K,Q, J (calling Felicity :D ) Just reading the V1 K/S page - are they extra Jacks?

Honeybee ... The court cards you've pictured are the jacks (called fante in italian, and valet in french, both corresponding to the playing card jack, these are sometimes called pages in english in a tarot context after AE Waite used that term in the influential english RWS tarot).

The four courts in descending rank order are kings (seated), queens (also seated), knights (on horseback), and jacks (standing). This way of distinguishing the ranks iconographically is the same for the traditional Italian tarots and also the French Tarot de Marseille (though French style also introduces text labels to the cards). It's also the same as for Italian suited playing cards but with the addition of the seated queen (Italian suited playing cards only have king, knight, jack). The jacks in The Great Parade have the notable feature that two of them are male (swords and clubs) and two are female (coins and cups). This two male and two female setup for the jacks is typical for early Bolognese pattern tarot and also Minchiate (Florentine tarot which used an expanded 97 card deck) .....

I'm glad you're happy with them!

I really do love tarot (not as a practitioner) and I've done a relatively good job at exercising restraint. I think I have around 50 decks. I feel like Gandalf has as at least double that 😂

If your going for playing card designers who have done Tarot cards here's a few from the top of my head. Most of these should have their own UC thread as well.
Uusi Pagan otherworlds should be your first if you like their art.
Lorenzo's Keymaster Tarot should be a very close 2nd (Amazon sells the latest edition).
RJ Tomlinson did a few with his Titanic Risen Spirits being his best IMHO. He also did Romeo and Juliet and Oz tarot decks.
Jack Penny's Tarot deck KS just ended recently, so you may still get a chance if he opens a Late Pledge.

You can find the full details on Kickstarter to get a better idea of the decks.

Here's some other more interesting ones that I've come across.
Visconti di Modrone Tarot by Lo Sacrebo should be another one on your list if you like the historical art. Beautifully restored with gold and silver foil.
The Literary Tarot is another fun one
If you are a movie fan, RH Stewart's done a few interesting ones based on Star Wars, Alien and most recently 28 days later. You can see his KS Tarot tribute for Alien by looking for Strange Form.

Wow, thanks everyone for what is going to be a lot of fun for me to research. You have all gone to a bit of trouble - I am touched.
I have already checked out G's Yokai Yochi because his ;) had me thinking it was a joke - No joke, it KS funded 27x's its goal!
350gsm art paper sounds very thick - I am guessing Tarot readers like thick hard wearing cards

Just looking at the Green Glyphs - is there a Chinese rip off of these? I seem to be getting too good a deal from an Aussie ebayer
$10us a deck with free shipping if I buy two.
