These movies may be trash but they are so much fun to watch on
in imax 3D. It literally felt like being inside a video game.

The last avatar movie (hate admitting I even saw it) was literally the biggest pile of shit I’ve ever seen.

The latest one feels... yeah, like you said, inside a video game - some of the scenes are just very very smooth, like it is something you would expect watching cinematics in video gamesKGthePrince wrote: ↑Thu Jan 22, 2026 2:18 pm These movies may be trash but they are so much fun to watch onin imax 3D. Re: AVATAR by T11
I only seen the first movie, it was ok. Their Flight Of Passage ride at Disney World is the best simulator ride I've been on, feels like you're in a game or actually flying on the creature. This deck is a pass for me.

My sentiments exactly. In the long time between the first and second movie, I completely lost interest.

Re: AVATAR by T11
so these glow in the dark, correct?
Of course Theory11 wouldn't leave out the obvious opportunity to make these stand out like that?

I guess I'm the only one here that really enjoyed all of them. Incredible theatre experiences, especially on a super giant IMAX screen.

I liked it in general. It's not breaking new ground, but they did everything well and were fun movies.KGthePrince wrote: ↑Tue Jan 27, 2026 7:04 pmLike just the visuals or the story, acting etc etc?Adamthinks wrote: ↑Tue Jan 27, 2026 6:49 pm I guess I'm the only one here that really enjoyed all of them. Not the only one, Mr. Thinks. I get why some people don't care for them, but I was thoroughly entertained and awestruck by many of the visuals.Adamthinks wrote: ↑Tue Jan 27, 2026 6:49 pm I guess I'm the only one here that really enjoyed all of them. This deck, however, is leaving me cold. I wish the deck had followed the same sensibilities as the superhero/star wars decks while incorporating design elements of the Na'avi culture and art.

The film series is great and all - all those achievements in CGIs generating an imaginable world... but after the first one, I've felt that the franchise is overhyped

I'll most likely grab a deck at some point. The illustrations are very colorful, but the tight artistic details are not in the same league compared to someone like Russ Gray.

People here calling the series "trash" and "pile of shit" is out of this world. Production effort, visuals and technology aside, the films doesn't have any message other than "don't smurf the environment". I don't see how anyone can go wrong with that.laitostarr777 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 28, 2026 12:36 am The film series is great and all - all those achievements in CGIs generating an imaginable world... but after the first one, I've felt that the franchise is overhyped
I wouldn't trust grumpy ass people blowing money on expensive papers for a source of movie review, anyway.

So because the movie has a good message means its good?Disenchanted_11 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 28, 2026 8:17 pmPeople here calling the series "trash" and "pile of shit" is out of this world. I am NOT implying the movie franchise is bad - it’s just over-hyped. There’s a difference.

I believe it should be the last film where they get away with the theme/story repetition. They should re-invent it for the next 2 planned sequels.laitostarr777 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 29, 2026 12:48 am I am NOT implying the movie franchise is bad - it’s just over-hyped. There’s a difference.

Re: AVATAR by T11
I can think that a story is poorly written and acted even if the underlying message is one that resonates with me. I felt the same about 2012 (the movie).Disenchanted_11 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 28, 2026 8:17 pmPeople here calling the series "trash" and "pile of shit" is out of this world. As to playing card collectors not being a good source for movie reviews... huh? What does that have to do with the price of beer?
