Who's to say, but it's likely the same paper as the regular Heirloom edition. Hopefully they're going with a thick cardstock from the get go, which I'd be surprised if this project didn't.

B&N tuck stock for luxury is not always thick. I recall the twi Incubo decks having what I perceived as a somewhat thinner stock that was actually warping the tuck slightly, from what I'm guessing was due to the embossing. Hoping you're right that it is thicker.

We thought of that and are using a thicker paper. It's quite stiff TBH.

It's in a quote from an earlier post of yours
hsbc wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 8:31 pm From the campaign:
The Heirloom Edition - The Market Church of St. Nicolai

You can expect the Heirloom Legacy to be $50 each if you want to budget for that or switch to a tier that already includes it.
When a tuck is cut like that, it's much flimsier (thinking of Black Requiem LTD). I'd be curious if that stained glass metal card will be offered as a standalone item as well, similar to how Lorenzo did with his. https://www.stockholm17.com/collections ... tal-card-1

I'm now debating what my final pledge will be.
To answer a few questions:
1. It will be $50 (Gilded Deck, Custom die Cut tuck box, and thick metal card with 10 different enamel colors). Some creators might charge $80 for something like this considering it's a Kickstarter exclusive. I'm not one of those people. I just want collectors to have something cool. Would people pay $80? Yes, they would.
2. The paper is very thick. Paul at B&N and I have been working on this tuck for several months. The paper is very sturdy which is a requirement for this to work at all.
3. The metal card will NOT be available separately.

I have some time to think but I'm leaning towards one cold-foiled Hameln deck as well as the Heirloom Legacy deck. It's a significant jump to go from $20 to $50 (I understand production costs and such, I'm not complaining about that per se), so I'll still mull it over. I would've bought the metal card separately which is probably why it's not being offered separately. :ugthink:

Right now, my pledge is the EB 3 deck box set, but I could do without a gilded and standard deck. I really like how the campaign doesn't have paywalls and everyone can customize whatever & however they want. I think I'm tired of having multiple versions of a deck.

I’m in a similar position and deciding what to do.

Im close, Im not really big on having multiple decks that are basically the same thing

So the most likely outcome is

gilded foiled deck
Heirloom legacy

Let me start by saying that this is my personal opinion.
This is one of the most beautiful projects that have appeared in recent years. The cards are all personalized but they are still playing cards, that is, they can be used in addition to doing magic. There is a known and perfectly represented story. They are truly beautiful, subjective aspect. The legacy will be printed only in the Kickstarter campaign and will therefore have a extremely limited edition, increasing their collector value. I think the price is fair and in line with similar products.
To conclude I think this deck should be evaluated by every collector because it really deserves it.

I splurged for the Legacy Edition, since it's a one and done release. I don't want to regret passing on it years later. I hope this deck wins a DOTY award in some category.

I really had a hard time with this but ultimately decided on only the cold foil and one booster pack. I really think the teal and gold version is the best version. I was really tempted by the Heirloom and Heirloom Legacy but after seeing the real stained glass, this one didn't grab me in the same way. I know why they had to adjust the colours but I would have preferred how the church has it in real life. Just my opinion though. I have been waiting forever for this campaign and really happy to have the cards.

That Heirloom Legacy wins the award for the heaviest deck in my collection. I was concerned the fragile tuck box that houses the steel insert would have ripped. But all in all a beautiful and unique presentation! This deck was on my most wanted list this year, along with Cavaliers and Robin Hood by KWP. And 2025 started with a bang with Stockholm 17's Cyclopeans. I know I'm forgetting a few other decks on my 2025 favorites list at the moment. Looking forward to what surprises await us in 2026!

Robin Hood and ronin definitely are on the top5 list as is this deck and the last bloom/r1 deck (whose name escapes me). I got pretty much all the cavaliers decks and was a tad disappointed to be honest. Not sure what the fifth (in no particular order) would be probably something from s17.

Hmmmm I think for new releases, my top 5 for me are: the heirloom edition of this deck, JBP's Exquisite Hanafuda, Jocu's Return of the Green Man whist edition, Oath's Rubiayat Test Edition, and S17's House of the Rising Spade Patronium edition. The Robin Hood decks look great but the second-hand market prices are ridiculous atm so I'll have to wait to find these decks at a reasonable price.

I cant disagree on JBP hanafuda or HOTRS one bit those are exceptional decks.

As for Robin Hood, you dont need second hand you can get them right off KWP's site.

(somehow the site is even hard to navigate today than it was a month ago, but you should be able to get them if you search)
