12 days of Christmas 2025 Kings Wild Project

Unread post by Evilgamer »

https://kingswildproject.com/pages/12-d ... stmas-2025

Most people are likely familiar with Jackson's annual daily release of new(ish) things during December that will start on the 1st(Monday). KWP had a pretty major reorganization this year and doesn't have the staff they did in the past(it's just Jackson and Mariana), in fact they dont ship their own decks any more. This leads to a change of how this promotion is run. IN the past you could buy what you wanted over the course of 12 days and then have it ship all at once for one shipping fee, thats no longer in possible. There will be no "bundle" of everything either.

So to ..most account for this here is how the promo will work this year

@everyone

So! I think i've come up with a pretty good structure for the 12 Days of Christmas.

It will be broken up into two types of releases.

Things that will be available immediately
Things that I tease early and will be available on the 12th (the last day of the 12 days of Christmas)

There will be 6 "available immediately" items/sales
There will be 6 "available on the 12th" items/sales

The first day will be a "available immediately" item, and then it will alternate after that.

Day 1 - Available Immediately
Day 2 - Available on the 12th
Day 3 - Available Immediately
Day 4 - Available on the 12th
Day 5 - Available Immediately
Day 6 - Available on the 12th
Day 7 - Available Immediately
Day 8 - Available on the 12th
Day 9 - Available Immediately
Day 10 - Available on the 12th
Day 11 - Available Immediately
Day 12 - Everything Available

I will reveal each day's items/sales on the day before, starting on Nov 30th.

All releases will be at 12 pm Eastern Time.

The items that are 'available immediately' are (for the majority) items that we have plenty of inventory of and that we are going to GREATLY discount (40%-60%) These items will be available (at the 12 days sale price) until December 31, and we don't fear that we will sell out, so if you want to wait till the last day and buy all that your heart desires with one order, you should be good to go.

The items that are 'available on the 12th' are either new releases (stuff you haven't seen before) or items we have very little inventory of. All of these items will be released at 12 pm Eastern time on December 12th.

To keep people engaged all 12 days of Christmas, we will have a form at the end of our '12 Days of Christmas' landing page that will have a daily code above the form. If you come and check in, and fill out the form, and enter the code, all 12 days of Christmas. We will be giving out 12 Kings Wild Swag bags (with more than $500 worth of Kings Wild items) on the 12th of December at 1:00PM eastern (after the last BIG release)

You are only eligible for the 12 day drawing if you have filled out the form each day. (You won't be able to fill it out 12 times on the first day, as that is what the daily code is for.)
Known things coming, new editions of the the nutcracker deck, 3 I think.

Did he ever go into detail on the reasons for the major reorganization? I haven't been looking at the discord lately. I hope his business is still doing well. I own more Kings Wild decks than any other designer, and though I have gotten as much from him recently, he's made a huge contribution to the scene and I want him to be successful.

Not that Ive seen but likely the explanation is exactly what it looks like which is the business was not profitable the way it was.

I haven't seen any indications that he intends to stop making decks any time soon. While it's been a minute there were discussions for the subscriptions/release schedule for FY26. I know hes working on a hobbit deck.

It was more profitable for Jackson to outsource his fulfillment. The new system for the 12 days was in response to people (esp O/S) worrying about paying shipping for everyday that they bought something. This way they can risk leaving the 'available immediately's' until the 12th day. Day 12 is going to be crazy

I still cannot see why his fulfiller can't bundle things up, sure it may be a bit of trouble but they could have a system that as well as paying the appropriate shipping for the order in the end, you also pay $2 for everyday that you add something to your bundle eg. if you bought something on 6 days, you pay an additional $12 for the 'bundling service'

Anyone else having trouble getting to the Table Players page? I'm having difficulty navigating the KWP website.

@jackson I'm sure your plate is full this time of year but when I try to sort your cards by "table players" it doesn't work. I could be doing something wrong here, no doubt. But could also be a website bug.

the site is pretty disorganized tbh - the decks are all over the place, categorized wrong or just missing. Keep in mind Jackson is a one man crew so I'm sure he will eventually get around to it.

From discord, I thought he still had Marianna working for him but he no longer does his own fulfillment and have the factory

I realize he's basically a one man show now, give or take, which is why I acknowledged that I know he has bigger fish to fry ATM.

But if he does get around to it, I'm a paying customer who'd be more than happy to buy some decks if I can find them.

Speaking of frying fish, I'm very excited for the feast of the seven fish on Christmas Eve!

You're totally right! I will try to organize the decks (products), it seems a ton of them have the wrong tags and such, so they aren't sorting correctly.

Thanks for the heads up.

I recall giving some unsolicited advice previously around the KW web site. Since shipping to me was impossible/incredibly costly I haven't had occasion to go there to purchase or look for decks in some time. Looking today, it's pretty painful to navigate and many of the same issues exist (poor load times, nested CTAs where it takes multiple click throughs to get to a place to see what you want to buy, illogical navigation UI). A real shame, I wonder if the consumer base is passionate enough to look past those things and still get to what they want or sales are in fact otherwise lost.

Getting ecommerce sites right isn't easy, especially for a product like playing cards which need a lot of graphics to showcase the material. Many sites don't get it right (look at Penguin Magic or even Murphys for that matter). I do think that JP Games does a pretty good job of it; the site loads quickly, navigation in clean and clear and there are multiple ways to view and sort product. That would be what I would strive for if I was brave enough to be starting such a business right now.

Hi All,

Been a long time since I bought anything from KWP & there doesn't seem to be too much info on the Christmas releases.
Can anyone give me a heads up:

a) Which Ronin deck (Courts / Back design) has been used for the Christmas edition?
b) Are the Nutcracker Sugar plum court cards the same as the original / updated Nutcracker deck? - I'm presuming it's just the back design that has changed.
c) What is the difference between the Red Gilded Nutcracker deck and the recently released 2025 edition? - Is it just the gilding colour?
d) Noel & XII Days - I'm presuming the standard editions are ink & the limited editions are foiled - is this correct?

Thanks in advance for any info :D

Congrats to anyone who won the grab bag! Jackson is usually very generous with giveaways, so if anybody here won, I think we'd all love to see your haul. Would be cool if one of his super rare Fight Club decks was in there.

I wound up buying a Ronin deck and the Nutcracker Sugar Plum non-gilded. I threw in a Little John and a Sushi mini deck to get free shipping.

Little John handles surprisingly well for a mini deck.

I passed entirely this year. There wasn't anything new ( i don't consider a different colorway new) and I have a copy of all of those decks minus the Table Players.
