I REALLY wish he would have waited to announce this after varnishing. This is exciting news for those who backed Mystery 3, but I won't exhale on this one until he says varnishing turned out great as well....
"But why male models?"

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
For those of us that have "journeyed" with Lotrek for awhile, we have been through varnishing that ended into solid blocks, so yeah varnishing can be a problem. As for cutting, who can forget the time the place he used for cutting the cards had a mishap and....yeah. I am pleased it is going well. I will be even more excited when I can hold them in my paws. It will be a happy day.

Considering the last print run's demise was at the cutting stage, we certainly aren't in the clear yet! I am hopeful.

No idea what this will be but Lotrek just posted it. I joked: Instead of Less, this is More.

What this deck is meant to represent is essentially the full artwork that was seen in part via the LESS decks. I think he's actually going to call this one "More."laitostarr777 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 2:41 am Hmmm, I think I recall seeing this pattern... what is it hmmmmmmm

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
For those that no longer get the Patreon updates, there is some news for Year 2. Basically, the base deck will be new design with both a Patron and non-Patron edition (like Royal Silk). Royal Patrons is still the second deck - new back, same faces, all foil. Royal Patrons printing (backs) to begin in a few days. No estimate on completion timing. Only that he thinks it should move more quickly after learnings from Mystery III.

He did send it to former Patrons as well, at least it is visible to us I mean. Thanks though.
I'll believe it when I see it (about him being quicker). Just don't think it's possible at this point. I still just hope for "eventually"

Hi, I saw a video recently by The Card Guy (always amazing content) for Royal Silk Test which is an amazing looking deck.
I have seen information on the various versions through the content on this voluminous and informative post, but I cant seem to find too much information on the Red Royal Silk. I understand the purple may have been available to non-patrons, the red was patron only and in silver rather than gold? Does anyone have pictures of the deck they could share, I am curious to see what it looks like?

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Current posts on Patreon should be available for the public to see. I believe you can follow a Patreon without paying if that function exists. I do that for Gio's Patreon so I can see the public posts he makes, for example. Lotrek has simply paused all the tiers and has to pause again before the end of each month so that we don't get billed unnecessarily.
Royal Silk Red and Royal Silk Purple vary only by the cardstock. Both use gold/gold foil. The gold/silver variant was a gift deck, with only one deck per backer, hence the much lower print run of 180. That one has a much redder tuck in the final version along with silver embellishments on the tuck and silver foiling on the cards, a la Redemption I black tuck variant. The final Patron rewards also had an embossed tuck, which the test prints did not.
Here's pics of the final tucks here, taken from P52: viewtopic.php?p=257083#p257083
The closest examples I could find right now are from hsbc with Redemption I: viewtopic.php?p=228613#p228613kenackers wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 4:16 pm Hi, I saw a video recently by The Card Guy (always amazing content) for Royal Silk Test which is an amazing looking deck.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Amazing, thank you.
So many variations, hard to get my head around it all, but appreciate your feedback. I have been working to understand some of the decks / runs, such as Mystery III Craft which became Qalif, which is also Mystery III final test which is Rubaiyat...which is also Mystery III about to be released as final, also Rubaiyat.I THINK....certainly not easy for the new comer to comprehend. Then I saw Royal Silk, so down another rabbit hole we go, now looks like I have to comprehend what the redemption decks are! Has anyone written an "Oath for Idiots" guide?
In terms of the test and final prints for Royal Silk (purple version), besides the more pronounced embossing on the final version, is it ostensibly the same deck or are there other small or significant changes?
BTW, I have the free version of the patreon, but it does not allow me to see the older posts, only the newer ones, so thanks for the shared links of images that are available.

A breakdown: Mystery III was announced and offered for pre-order on February 2024. Lotrek created a deck but wasn't happy with it, which became Mystery III Craft. He then changed the cardstock, added foiling to the borders, brightened up the courts, and decided to release it as Qalif. This didn't fit his initial vision for Mystery III so that placeholder name remained and he went back to the drawing board to create new courts and deck from scratch. He also mentioned Mystery III will have a patron variant that will be part of the Year 3 release. In order to test multiple styles of this new deck for efficiency's sake, he made a test print from which we learned Mystery III is now officially called Rubaiyat. He's released a deluxe players edition and a regular players edition in both blue and red variants. The cards are effectively the same but the tucks are the only difference. We now await the finalized Rubaiyat which is just needing to be cut.
So in total, Mystery III (now known as Rubaiyat) has evolved and has several versions available:
- Mystery III Craft Edition (aka Redemption Stories VIII for Patrons. Same deck in a redemption tuck)
- Qalif (The final version of Mystery III Craft, which became its own deck)
- Rubaiyat Test Print
- Rubaiyat (official collector's version - still being printed)
- Rubaiyat Players Deluxe edition (gold and silver metallic inks, with a beautiful upgraded tuck)
- Rubaiyat Players edition (same as deluxe with a less opulent tuck, also with gold and silver metallic inks)
For Royal Silk, there were some minor changes in how the foiling was done on the borders. Lotrek wanted to remedy the hot foil application showing on the opposite side of the cardstock, but it's hard to say if the final version is any better than the test version. The test edition in and of itself is actually near perfect. I'll have to bring these out and see if I can do a comparison. Now that I've tried to make one review video, I feel more comfortable doing more.
And yes, having the free version of Patreon will only give you access to Patreon posts designated for the public. You won't be able to see historical posts meant for higher tiers.

I was thinking that Lotrek needs a manager or assistant but then I realized that Lotrek really needs a 'boss' - someone with the authority to keep him on track

Absolute legend kevork thank you. And yes, more videos is a great idea, I really enjoyed your review of Rubaiyat Test Edition and found it very informative and well made.
I would love to see one in the future on the comparison between Royal Silk versions and other topics relevant to Oath (and others).

Since it's in your hands, you can share photos and don't have to be secretive about it. We'll probably see them pop up on eBay in the next day or two.
I've had to keep this to myself for a lil while now, can't wait to touch it: Unfortunately a collector wrote on Facebook that the Rubáiyát shipment meant for GW is being sent back to Lotrek, so it'll be longer until we get our decks here in NA. I'm curious what the final version's tuck will look like since Lotrek went with a really premium tuck for the deluxe players edition.
