So 400 holes to spell out Missing. It is novel and I often like the unusual but I don't whether I like the courts

Well, it’s a cardistry deck: so what to expect?

I like the idea, but I agree on the courts. Also, watching that video....man I just really can't get behind cardistry. I get that there's skill involved but it just always looks..SO lame.

Reading the youtube comments gave me a good chuckle. The feverish hype in that comment section compared to the tepid indifference on this thread is gold 🤣

While this deck is an easy pass for my taste, I really like the sky blue miminalist tuck on this deck.

To this day, I still dont get, what’s the DEAL cardists need to achieve minimalism in their cardistry decks.

Take Fontaine Flipper for example:
Cardist: that dolphin as back design is great
VS
Collector: just a photo slapped on the back, meh

This deck should be lighter, right?

Thanks for the post! The contrast between the YouTube & Instagram hype and the chill vibes here for the Missing NY x Room One Beam Playing Cards is honestly hilarious

I get why the Beam deck might not click for everyone, but I’m glad you’re loving the sky blue minimalist tuck!

On the cardist vs. collector debate, it really comes down to perspective. I’m not a pro cardist (I dabble in moves), but I lean more toward magic and collecting. Collectors tend to go for decks with rich graphics, custom courts, and detailed faces that pop when displayed. Cardists, on the other hand, care about how a deck looks in motion—too much detail can make moves feel chaotic or cluttered. That’s why cardists love the Beam deck’s holes: they add flair to moves, letting backgrounds shine through for a cool, almost CGI-like effect where the cards seem to shift and transform.

This is just my take, and I don’t speak for all collectors or cardists! Everyone should enjoy the cards they love, and together, we’re growing this awesome community

Hilarious!
Chill vibes LOL

I said "It is novel and I often like the unusual but I don't know whether I like the courts"

One poster replied "I like the idea, but I agree on the courts"

That is the full extent of the serious comments about the deck

I reckon that is about as chill as the sun going down on a tropical beach

Over on Missing's Instagram, they say these will be available on their website (www.missingnewyork.com) on September 14th at 1:40 PM EST.

I love the idea of cards with tiny holes in them; it's very unique.
