ROOM ONE's PATREON

Unread post by TorresOVER »

Hello, UnitedCardist community,

I thought it’d be easier to consolidate all the Patreon decks from Room One into one post—less clutter that way! We’re coming up on a year since launching our Patreon, so here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve been up to.

1. Metachrosis Playing Cards
viewtopic.php?p=255782&
Limited to 50 decks. This one’s a standout with a 360° moveable eye on the tuck box and a fully custom design. The chameleons on the card back even shift colors slightly when you flip them
Image

2.MIDSUMMER Playing Cards ( Standard/ Patreon Exclusive) by Room One
viewtopic.php?p=259476&
Image
Image
The Patreon Exclusive edition was capped at 200 decks. A summery vibe with a unique twist for our supporters.

3. Prequel & Sequel Playing Cards (Duo Set)
WhatsApp Image 2025-03-10 at 16.02.21.jpeg
WhatsApp Image 2025-03-11 at 18.03.24.jpeg
This is our latest project—a duo set in the works. One deck will be for general sale, while the other’s a Patreon exclusive. All Patreon supporters can snag the standard version for free too! Here’s a sneak peek at the concept, straight from our Patreon update:
"The Art Style: For this deck, we’re leaning into a vintage hand-drawn animation style—think old-school Disney cartoons, antique Mickey Mouse vibes, or even the art from the video game CUPHEAD. If you recall the Kickstarter project Daymare and NightDreamer (which, sadly, never came to fruition—still stings to mention), that’s the kind of aesthetic we’re chasing, but with our own playful, detailed spin. This duo includes the Prequel, where characters (maybe cartoon animals or personified objects) are having fun—studying at school, playing in the park—with vibrant, colorful tones. Then the Sequel flips the script: some end up arrested, in court, or in jail, while maybe one makes it big. We’re not set on the details yet. The twist? We’ll never explain why their fates diverge. That gap, that mystery, is what we think will make these decks hit hard—leaving it all to your imagination. It’s like real life: the untold parts of a story are what keep us hooked."
Our Patreon link:
https://www.patreon.com/roomonecards

Here’s how it works: For every 4 months you support us, you can pick any one deck—your choice—until they’re all gone. Plus, you get one free shipping quota per year. Beyond these exclusive decks, you’ll also get behind-the-scenes content, magic and cardistry tutorials, work-in-progress updates, vlogs/blogs, and interviews with various creators. We’re aiming for 2-4 posts a week! And if you join our free membership tier, you’ll still enjoy at least one post every 2 weeks—no cost at all.

It gives me Cuphead vibes. Ahh... I just now read the description. Both of us hit the nail on the head of the aesthetic they were going for.

Hello everyone, I just dropped a new Patreon update with a voting poll to decide which Prequel & Sequel deck should be the Patreon Exclusive and which one we’ll sell publicly. Plus, there’s a fresh batch of previews for both decks to check out!

I do love this style, it's why I had hoped to get Nightdreams and Daymares but it looks like that campaign will never fulfill. I would definitely get a couple of each of these if available.

After voting poll in Patreon, the people have spoken: Prequel & Sequel should be released to Public. So, Room One decided to have this series being launched as Kickstarter campaign - which you can also get their Gilded Editions as well as the Collection Set or Half Brick Set. Honestly I would agree with "the people" (aka Room One Patrons), cuz... not having a pair of a deck series which is meant to be a pair will grind your OCD haha.

The 3rd Edition will be Patreon Exclusive!

Cool looking decks but they priced me out. Add-ons would have changed it if I couldn't find one of their decks 40% cheaper and and no extra shipping cost from a shop they wholesale to. The prequel could have been the black/white deck. Cool drawings though, I like it.

I'll consider going for a pair of standard decks to fill the void in my heart left by Nightdreams & Daymares. I'm hesitant because Jazz brings up a good point around being patient for a sale.

I wonder why the plugin here on UC says the project is based in Burbank, CA while their account shows New York, NY.

Because of the discount rate, and concerns about their customers moderation practices, we are considering reducing our sales to them, perhaps by half, or even ceasing sales entirely.

That could be for the best. The discount is just under 30% off retail and not 40%, my mistake. With a certain shop's 15% discount, one of your recent decks goes from their price of 11.68$ down to just under 10$. Not wholesaling decks much cheaper would help this statement to be more true...

Yeah, please let me know if you really find any shop not aligned to this rule. Even our wholesale partners are also subject to our backer price protection policy. Please contact me directly if you prefer not to discuss this publicly.

It's one of Murphys Magic shops. The deck wasn't originally a ks deck but now it is a ks item with a campaign price of 14$ plus extra shipping in the add ons. I suppose we could argue semantics now but that won't change how I perceive this.

I understand your situation. Therefore, we are exercising increased caution in selecting and providing products to them. For example, we only offer standard editions of Assassin's Creed & Jack the Ripper. I anticipate this trend will continue or even less, except for regular or non-Kickstarter decks

Ya no worries man. I understand how the gears turn in business. You guys make some rad decks that people really enjoy and I hope you keep it up. This is not personal against you but personal to my preference of products to support. Just for an example, if I think someone sold decks to someone in the neighborhood of 6$ or less and then tried to sell them to me for 14$ then I feel insulted, whether or not it is justified that is just how I feel.

Just received these. The colors are much more subdued compared to the vivid colors shown on the campaign, which was a slight disappointment since colors were such an important part of the artwork for Prequel.

I also didn't need to see Room One branding on every Ace, 2, 4, and both jokers. The front of the tuck also has it TWICE. Felt excessive.

Overall, a decent deck that handles well and I'm happy to have in the collection.

Just received my Prequel/Sequel cards and I love em. In a way, since the styles are similar, it feels like the abandoned Nightdreams & Daymares project finally got delivered.

First off, a huge thank you for all the kind comments, support, and thoughtful feedback you've given us over the years. Your encouragement has meant a lot.

We're making some significant changes to our Patreon in 2026 to make it feel more like a true VIP club—better tiers, truly exclusive decks, auto-fulfillment (no more manual claiming!), a members-only shop with rare leftovers & collabs, monthly giveaways, faster replies, and even a private Discord launching soon.

I wanted to give you all a heads-up before we do any big public promotion, and especially wanted to share one special surprise: we're sending a thank-you gift package to every legacy member who supported us at any point before the end of January 2026 (whether you're still active or paused along the way). It includes a Dimension 01 deck, a Carat case, and a mystery gift bag (contents vary for each person).

Here's the link

Thanks again for being part of the Room One journey.
You guys are always the one of best community in the game.

♠️ Room One Cards: Patreon Cycle 2 Transition is OPEN!
The window for our second cycle has officially arrived. If you missed the first round, this is your fresh start to join the inner circle for our 2026 roadmap.

🌟 The "New Star" of Cycle 2
While the first cycle was defined by the Illusion deck, Cycle 2 marks a new chapter in our experimental series.
Image
Illusion wasn't just foil—it featured high-end Photolithographic printing to create its unique visual depth. Once these vault copies are gone, they are gone forever. We printed 100 decks & 12 samples only.
