Thornwood 2.0 Playing Cards [KS]

Unread post by Balagany »

"If you've ever heard anything about the Thornwood story, it's all been rumors β€” stories from people who were never part of those events. But you must remember, in every rumor, there's a grain of truth. Today, you'll find out what really happened in Thornwood. But allow me to move forward in this story to the times when, after the eternal summer, Autumn arrived..."

The campaign continuing the story of Thornwood is currently underway. Now you can complete the rest of the decks and discover the further continuation of the story.

I'll leave here wooden boxes for two decks, and I'm thinking that maybe we should also make ones for four. What do you think?

are the tucks made of any special stock? matte or pearl maybe?

like the first deck. i love the art. it is nice that in the 4 versions offered here all of the courts appear different and not just recolors. i can really appreciate that. i also love the bottom tuck seals. the standard versions are offered in a set or as singles. the premium with colored edges are set only.

if the tucks are plain glossy stock $17 per deck is a bit higher than the new standard of $15, which used to be $10-$12 ish.

Feels more like 1.2 instead of 2.0 imho. Great for fans of the first edition I guess.

The box upgrade depends on the success of the campaign ;). The printing house has been changed and we finally have a nice German Linen finish. As for the price, we have a limited stock, firstly, and secondly, I assume that the price also depends on the Kickstarter currency converter, and I have no influence on that. It is certainly much more profitable to buy in sets ;)

For me it's 2.0, apart from more boxes, we finally have a professional card printing house and a nice finish. And the story moved forward :ugdance:

That's not how software version naming works but we are here for cards anyways so all's well, lel.

Thornwood Playing Cards relaunch

Unread post by mtsedwards72 »

I see this was attempted several times so should I be leery?

Sorry for no pics; I don't know how to do that.
I'm not as interesting as I think I am.

No need to be leery - pretty standard second attempt - I have the v1 of that deck.

Interesting note about this attempt is that they are printing with Cartamundi out of their factory in Poland. I'm in for the full gilded set.

saw a ks, made me leary,

Thanks, admin, for merging my thread with this; so much more manageable to follow.
