Removed Thanks

Something odd today ... got a notification that someone removed their thanks from a post I made over 3 years ago. Seems very strange someone would do that. Not sure I understand why someone would do that.

Might have been a mis click or attempt to thank again - we mods have seen it happen before so perhaps its even a bug.

A user removed four or five of their thanks to me a while back. I thought It was weird, but then again it's their prerogative to do so.

I guess that is me. I have a fixation with certain numbers and I like my counter to stay at 1791 thanks. So whenever I thank someone recently, I remove an old thanks.

Any particular reason? I searched historic events in 1791 but there were far too many to be able to guess which, If any, would be significant.

Interesting .... as with Timmargh, I would be curious for the reason, if you felt like sharing.

First part of Thomas Paine's Rights of Man was published 1791. I prefer Common Sense over it but 1776 is just not a number I like. The two sevens in the middle make me kinda dislike it.

That's why I don't thank very much posts in general btw. Despite there're being a lot of thank worthy contributions for example by you two amongst others like (both) Gandalf, hsbc and rouselle, to just name a few.

I was going to guess either the French Constitution, or the Bill of Rights.

Pasteur, Curie and Cousteau are tops in my book - Joan of Arc and De Gaulle not to shabby - Napoleon had an attitude and a few others did lose their headsโ€ฆ

Baguette is nice tooโ€ฆ
