KICKSTARTER ADD-ONS

Unread post by JacksandJokers »

Hi All,

I have a query.

Sometime next year I'm potentially planning a Kickstarter campaign for a Non-Playing card related item (A series of children's books).

I know most of us here are used to Kickstarter but I'm wondering, would it be better to have 1 or 2 basic tiers and use the add-on system or have everything available through different tiers?

Personally I like the add-on system but I'm concerned that those new to Kickstarter may not be aware of the add-ons available or would find it easier to simply select an "all in" tier so to speak.

What are your thought's on this?
Would be particularly interested to hear from anyone who is fairly new to Kickstarter.

Thanks in advance :D

I think a mix of both approaches would be the best for backers. You can have a couple of simple tiers and an all-inclusive tier. Then you can have the add-ons available through the KS add-on feature for those who might want an extra of something included in previous tiers. Also, some backers may not want all of everything, but perhaps a bookmark or keychain to go with the book they chose. Best of luck on this project!

Thanks Jamie,

I was thinking a mix of both might be the way forward :D

Hi All,

I know this is not playing card related buy if any of you have young kids or just want to show your support then it might be of interest.

As mentioned above I'm planning on self-publishing a series of children's books which will (hopefully) be funded via Kickstarter.

I now have a pre-launch page for the Kickstarter campaign:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/va ... ies-book-1

Please check it out & would love to have you on board.

P.S - This will be the last time I update this thread so as not to bombard you with Non-playing card stuff.
Simon :D
