We are right now in a quality assurance phase, where we order a final and hopefully last prototype deck version from MPC. As soon as it is delivered and we can finaly confirm the quality we are aiming for, we'd like to discuss the whole campagne preview alltogether and really looking forward to your feedback again.
Please follow our project and in best case also support as soon as it goes live
Today, finally the last prototype arrived.
Still missing the embossing, foil and inner tuck design, but that will be part of the final Version.
We are now VERY close to share a preview of the kickstarter campaign with you alle and hope to recieve good feedback to improve it as much as possible.
The whole decks looks amazing in our opinion. Very proud of it
We just finished this draft of our Kickstarter preview page. There are still a few things missing here and there, but we are very excited to share this with you and would love to read your helpful feedback. You already helped us to improve the deck and it would be amazing if you could do the same for the campaign.

EB for 1 deck, EB for 3 decks, but no EB for 2? that's the tier I would pick. Probably not that big of a deal lol, but it sure would make me happy
One to open and display.
One to keep sealed in a protected environment.
One to gift.

We talked about that now. As it is a "no brainer" and it makes you happy, we wil include a 1 deck option with the early birds

So you suggest, canceling the 1 Deck option?
I don't remember the last time I ordered just a single deck, if ever!
@Plan52 -- I got an email alert that your campaign just launched but when I go to the page, it says that the funding has been cancelled? Was there some hiccup? Will the campaign be launched at some other time?

today we messed up with our Kickstarter campaign by accidently starting it immediately.
There was no other way than cancel it and set up a complete new campaign.
Nothing changed, but the URL.
But sadly you all have to follow our new campaign now.
It's not just about for you to be notified as soon as we go live. It's also a good indicator for us to see how many followers we have.
If you still plan to support us, then please follow the new campaign page now.
Having a closer look at the courts, I wish the J letter would look more like a J rather than a cursive I or L.
Also, I've always hated thick white borders on the court faces. Cramps the custom court art for me when it's printed out to a playing card. That's supposed to be the highlight of the deck, not smooshed into a small space where the art loses the details.
Then again, considering it's 16 bit pixel art, it may not be so bad as there aren't that many details? You would know best as it looks like you've got a prototype.
Thanks for the Feedback. The "J" went through several designs. In the end we decided, that it now represents the theme very well. Here's a shot from the prototype deck. Every other irerations differed the J in style and look from the other letters in our opinion. Looking at it standalone, we absolutely understand your impression. But looking at the overall work, we think it very well fits all the rest.
These cards send me right back to the old Sierra Kings Quest games - some of my favorites. I'm really digging the style. I'd be curious to see how well the pixelation shows in the foil/emboss on the tuck.
If I had one wish, it would be expanding the court card artwork - it's definitely the highlight to me and deserves as large a frame as possible imo.
Hey, we are currently starting to have problems to get new supporters to the campaign and to motivate the campaign followers to pledging. You already helped us so much, but we want to ask you again for some guidance and some tips. Does anybody have an idea what we could do to keep our progress going?
We are currenty working on more marketing etc. but we have the feeling that we need to do more. We love this project and really want to reach the goal.
That's unfortunately the faith of most one deck campaigns. You can't really do anything but getting the word out; trying to get as much exposure as possible.
I think good pixel art like your deck has would appeal to the bored game people. It may be worth trying to promote the deck on some of the bored game insta's. They could inspire some new eyes to have a peek at your campaign. Perhaps some of the retro gaming spots, emulator conversation people, etc.
Normally I would have backed your campaign for a couple decks. I just cannot do it this close to the holidays, not this year. (The plague that's sweeping all the lands is doing it's thing again too) It could be that there are others who are looking at things the same way. They may find more pocket money with a bit of a gentle nudge.
TL:DR It's completely up to you. We can still be friends. I actually like playing cards. We live in interesting times.
It does tend to be an issue with campagins that launch so close to Black Friday. A lot of people tend to hold off until after the holidays. I've backed but if it doesn't fund you might try again after the holidays. Agree that especially for us International folk it's hard to back projects that only have one deck unless you want to get some decent quantities as the shipping kills otherwise.
Thanks again for your Feedback. Yes, it really seems, that the timing wasn't perfect for our first deck. Nevertheless, we hope to get this deck fundet and will do what we can to reach this goal.
Right now, it does not seem impossible, but still hard work and a long way.
Let's see how it will turn out. This will surely not be our last deck and we keep improving and learning from day to day.
Unfortunately, we have not reached the goal this time ... but this is not the end! We love and believe in the Pixel Kingdom deck.
We will be relaunching this project soon with a few improvements.
Most of you have indicated that you love the deck, but our timing was a bit unfortunate, but we don't want to dwell on it and have done a quick survey.
Pixel Kingdom re-launch is live!
Many of you asked for a re-launch, so here we go again.
Please help us to get this 16-bit inspired playing cards get funded this time!
Back now on Kickstarter or help spreading the word.
That was a mess. Some minutes after the launch, the Titleimage suddenly disappeared. Kickstarter was kind of broken and we could not upload a new one for about 45 min.
Upload stuck at 3% all the time. Sometimes went up to 100% but then stuck there and did not update. Always ending with a "Try again" message.
