What?? These cards look great! It is rare to see a full figure that is illustrated on cards, the majority of the time it is just mirrored busts.

Bad. Like this deck in general.

Decks in this style are a hard sell. It's difficult to get them to be respectful and clear without being gaudy or coming off in an inappropriate light. I see the struggle with this deck and that it was designed in a way to highlight in a respectful manner. The trouble is that when dealing with a deck like this that has so much to draw from they can easily become too busy. If there's too much competing for eye time the overall will become less as the eyes slide off and look for something that is easy to see. I feel like even though this card back isn't particularly busy, it comes off that way due to the negative space and color combinations. I think it would help if there was some focus in the card back. Dead center we have the same as the negative space because it is. The ring of stars don't draw the eye, they're not bright enough and lose out to the brightness of the eagles. I could go on but it's not summer, It's not stupid hot and I'm not hiding inside under the AC.

I like the full body approach on the card faces. I do wish there was more fun going on (Poses, some smiles on some maybe, human stuff possibly) but I understand the desire to be as respectful as possible. This is a challenging deck to design and I think it's been done well overall but could be improved. The campaign could be improved as well of course, tuck box image for example but there's more that could be done there. Still solid effort and to that I say good luck, I do hope this see's success!
