I don't know why but I'm in for the three deck display case at that price. I'm starting to like Riffle Shuffle more and more.

The display case is a good one.
Decks are riffle-shuffle style and not for me (except philtre, but that one I need to give credit to PH)

Maybe one sometime later but not now.

A let-down after seeing the pip design and number cards... these angled, sharp-cornered pips have been overdone by a lot of subpar decks that failed their funding on Kickstarter.

Re: 1000 Cranes by Riffle Shuffle
I think that given the theme of this deck (origami) the number and pip styles work perfectly. The courts also fit the theme very well (which is more than I can say for many other decks I've seen that are far fancier and more expensive). At a price of $8-9 per deck, this was an easy purchase decision for me.Decknowledgy wrote:A let-down after seeing the pip design and number cards... these angled, sharp-cornered pips have been overdone by a lot of subpar decks that failed their funding on Kickstarter.
Given the eye-catching use of color, and the well-unified theme, I'll be giving some of these to friends as gifts as well.

I have bought 90% of RS decks of the past year or so, this is on the no buy list though along with bloodlines and snackers.

I guess that's true, forgot to consider the theme. I have no objection that the courts are nice with those rigid shadows, although the "Q" index is basically a trapezoid blotch.scottbre wrote:I think that given the theme of this deck (origami) the number and pip styles work perfectly. I agree. I won't be buying these as I do not like them at all. I also didn't buy snackers but I did buy bloodlines.STLBluesNut wrote:I have bought 90% of RS decks of the past year or so, this is on the no buy list though along with bloodlines and snackers.

Re: 1000 Cranes by Riffle Shuffle
FYI Snackers are OPC decks that Riffle Shuffle only retails. They aren't a Riffle Shuffle deck. Just to avoid confusion.
.
Exactly my thoughts. Except that I still don't buy them. They still don't make the cut for me even with the good price, but you are allowed to put my name on your friend listscottbre wrote:I think that given the theme of this deck (origami) the number and pip styles work perfectly. Re: 1000 Cranes by Riffle Shuffle
Just updating the thread with V2 (not new) and V3 (new-ish?)
1000 Cranes V2, $10.00 [sold out]
The 1000 Cranes was one of the most artistic decks we have in our collection. From the popular release back in 2020, we are proud to bring you, in fresh new colors, the 1000 Cranes V2.
The 1000 Cranes V2 keeps the original design of its predecessor while embodying a vivid bright blue color for the back designs. You can catch the origami folds from the back design with two origami cranes symmetrical to each other. Instead of being blue, the cranes now have a snowy-white color to show their pure "feathers".
When you place 3 decks together, it will showcase the enlarged image of the origami crane across the tuck cases.
The 1000 Cranes V2 is Manufactured by the United States Playing Card Co with Bee Casino Stock, Limited to 2500 Decks.
1000 Cranes V3, $8.95
The 1000 Cranes is one of our most fun designs with the back featuring the classic two origami cranes on top of an intricate 3D structure-like design to give you a deck that's fun to look at!
The 1000 Cranes V3 keeps the original design of its predecessor while embodying a vibrant yellow on the back with two snowy-white cranes that are symmetrical to each other.
When you place 3 decks together, it will showcase the enlarged image of the origami crane across the tuck cases.
The 1000 Cranes V3 Playing Cards are printed by USPCC with their crushed Bee Stock. Limited to 2500 Decks.
