NPCCD 2019 Deck?

Unread post by Decknowledgy »

Are there any news about the NPCCD deck this year? Or is Seasons not planning to produce them anymore?

I think that Alex Chin has mentioned that he is definitely producing the NPCCD deck range this year and the proceeds are going to go towards the revamp of the P52 website. Haven’t seen anything about the decks yet.

I remember Alex mentioning there will be four versions since this is the fourth year for NPCCD day. I have no idea what it is, but am sure we will be getting more information before NPCCD.

There is a NPCCD deck collection this year as well. Fortunately or unfortunately spreading awareness about the deck has always been a bit of a tricky thing. It's sort of just implied that if you have a new deck within a close proximity of the convention you reveal it at the convention. So typically I have the deck but can't talk about it until a week before the actual holiday and so in order to gain enough momentum that window between convention and actual holiday is a flood of posts full speed ahead lol.

This year's theme was originally going to embrace the 4 seasons for the fourth year but it changed. I think I've admittedly lost a bit of interest with a lot of the cards out on the market right now that's a lot of burn-and-churn and wanted to do something different that fed my soul as a collector. I found a topic that got me genuinely excited to design cards again and did end up going all out for this year's release. It's certainly different than anything that's out there and elegantly understated but if you're a Seasons fan you're going to love it.

Sounds intriguing and I really like seasons decks. I wasnt too hip on the chess theme last year so I hope I can get behind them this year.

Revisiting a dated topic, but....

Alex absolutely knocked this years decks out of the park. While at the convention, on the first day I was ribbing him about having a slow year. Then when he announced his decks the next night I was completely blown away. Wow! What a concept and certainly executed with class and style. He's right, I'm a Seasons fan and I Love It!
