Excellent job Alex and everyone! Usually the project bleeds a few percent on the last few days, but we went over the top.

Congrats Alex....great campaign. Looking forward to the beauties now.

Kardify does not deserve mentioning your decks or any of your products @Montenzi. Just don't give them any leverage is what I'd ask. Any sane reader or collector would have understood what happens there in terms of bias (or prejudice) in featuring or mentioning a deck by now and would have shifted to alternate channels like UC, fb groups etc. already.

1. Ok. As promised, I made a post on my Instagram (Stories) with a photo of me :geek: Follow: https://www.instagram.com/montenzi/

2. Surveys sent. No big news about the project. I should still collect $5000 from "errored" backers. I'll be ready to finalize and pay the order as soon as Kickstarter transfer funds. If you missed the project, I recommend to pre-order now (within the next 7-10 days). You will never see such prices again (even in my future projects).

PRE-ORDERS

1. If you are a backer, send me a message to upgrade.

2. If you are not a backer, please visit my shop to pre-order http://montenzi.nz/shop/ For a limited time, prices are almost the same as on Kickstarter (including shipping). I'll keep prices on this level for another week or two.

3. I am planning to print 1000 decks of each color. The pre-order price is $16.5, RRP is $21-25. BTW, NEO:WAVE ULTRA was also $21 after Kickstarter :D

I'm thinking to give a deck as gift to a friend in US (B'day in March). I was looking to place a pre-order on top of my pledge but now thinking which deck will look really awesome of all three. Purple or Classic Green or Borderless Green? Any suggestions.

Personally I prefer the borderless editions. The purple being my favorite of the 2. I think there were much better versions of the classic back leading up to launch. My KS pledge was for 2 decks of which I will pick the 2 borderless versions.

@guru, I don't know as they are different and I like them all  The reason why I like each edition is also completely different. Popularity after 457 surveys: 633 Classic, 501 Green, 497 Purple
I do not limit backers so that they can select any deck from all available.

Thanks!

I cannot agree, and I am extremely happy that I don't use the first classic back design.

It's all good [emoji6]. I also liked different backs on the hello tiki as well. I am obviously in the minority all around as I like the purple most and it's the lowest on the surveys lol.

Purple and Green are a virtual tie, really. If only *two* decks out of this entire project were switched from green to purple, they'd be at a literal tie.

As it is, I think I like the purple best, too, and would have loved a purple version of the classic back, but it's all good. There were a whole bunch of excellent iterations leading up to these, and these are excellent, too. I'm very happy with what I've seen so far, and I look forward to getting these puppies in my hands.

It's a quick update. I sent three emails to Cartamundi after KS and received one response a couple of days ago. But it was a confirmation that my emails received. :geek: I think that they are overloaded, and it will be a miracle if we print this deck in 2019.

I'll post another update when I have news. At this moment the project is on the road in the center of the Sahara desert  But don't worry! I am working on it.

p.s. please start working on UC2020 NOW. I mean NOW

Well, judging by the recent update from Ondrej Psenicka on his Butterfly deck where he said that Cartamundi has pushed his order back all the way to January 2020, I suspect you may be right. I hope that the situation is going to improve once they take over USPCC, otherwise we will be dealing with an uncontactable near monopoly all the time.

We'll, "let me say this about that" - Jirs Huygen is their Playing Cards Ambassador and he does a darned good job, but sometimes his hands are tied and we never seem to get used to the weird holidays and bank holidays in Belgium, so it is just a matter of time once in a while.

Comparing apples to apples, they are super easy to deal with and the fact that they even have an Ambassadør is a heads up on USPCC. We hoped to get in on the November custom card printing queue, but it looks like we will be printed in December instead.

Everyone says Jirs is so great, but I guess that's only when people can get a hold of him...? :? And the Belgian holidays keep coming up, but if a corporation the size of Cartamundi can't have someone at least answering emails every day, that's ridiculous [MURRAY] They have employees in other countries too, don't they?

Of course if everyone just throws up their hands and says this is how it is, then nothing will change! Is that really what we want? Is that really the best Cartamundi can do?

Let's put that in perspective, please. How much do you count on USPCC getting back to you - usually overnight? Never happened for me, and I am pretty close to the situation. The fact is that the family that owns Cartamundi LOVES playing cards, and the 3rd party conglomerate that owns USPCC and all the other stuff could give a rip about "us", although to be fair, the employees themselves clearly do. They are often hamstrung by the unbelievable amount of hierarchy involved. Lord forbid you run afoul of their legal dept.

Mike - I was not trying to talk crap about Jirs and although I am removed from the direct interaction with him, I gather that he is doing a good job. My comment was not about him but about production orders being pushed back to the tune of three months and that, in my book, is difficult to justify.

I am also not sure that USPCC is good benchmark here - it is a fairly low threshold to clear.
