Heath playing cards

I just stopped by Heath ceramics and was delighted that they had commissioned a card deck!


They are known for their tile work as well as other ceramics and are very well known in home design circles. I am pretty sure they used WJPC as a printer, though it is not on the box or on any of the cards (they feel 'smooth" on the edge like the whale Castle deck and others they have printed) and the quality is pretty nice! I was bummed that the price was stuck directly on the tuck, but i was able to very slowly peel it off, even though it is matte finish (w/copper foil!)

These are on my wishlist. $10 a deck is pretty decent. The $10 shipping kills it for me.

I live 2 blocks from Heath SF. I could easily pick you up a deck and ship at whatever standard rate the post office charges. PM if interested...

DO NOTE that all of the decks have a price sticker directly on the tuck, cello wrap is *inside* the tuck It takes a ton of patience to remove the sticker and you can still see where it was on my box. However, if you are, like me, interested in it mostly for the art of the cards, it is no biggie.
