As far as 1-way backs go, it isn't the worst.vasta41 wrote:Cool tuck, awful 1-way back.
It isn't special enough to be a 1-way back, though.

Re: Lone Star Playing Cards
This is an interesting deck. It's almost like a colorful Texan '45 Palmetto variant. I don't normally like one-way backs and this is clearly an edge reader deck (as are the Palmettos), but if the courts are nice, the price is reasonable, and they're USPCC printed, I'll pull the trigger on this.

I actually quite like that back, tuck is nice too.

Re: Lone Star Playing Cards
Still can't tell who the printer is from the pictures, but it looks like the bottom flap is glued to the bottom instead of tucked into the box, so it makes me think it might be USPC. Since they're only showing the Ace of Spades and jokers, I'm betting on standard courts, which would be a shame. But damn, I really like the back design. Imagine if it was done with cold-foil!

Re: Lone Star Playing Cards
Considering it's PIP that did this and the Livingstone deck recently discussed, it'll be standard courts. Seems sad that despite their name of Pure Imagination, their imagination doesn't stretch to the courts, not even a recolor.

Re: Lone Star Playing Cards
These are live on Pure Imagination’s website. Still no pictures of the courts. Which leads me to Rapylatassu’s post from another thread:

Re: Lone Star Playing Cards
Based on a glimpse of the Jack of Clubs in their latest IG video, looks like standard courts.

Re: Lone Star Playing Cards
What a rip-off! One deck (with standard courts likely) = $15.00. Shipping for one deck via USPS 1st class (not even Priority) = $6.79. Tax = $1.43 for a grand total of $23.22 for one minimally customized deck! Nice colorful back, embossed tuck, USPC printing, but $23.22 for one deck shipped is bullshit. Even if these had a two-way back with fully custom courts and pips I don't know if I pay $23.22 for these. Not when I can get nice foiled playing cards in a more blinged out tuck box for less than $20 these days. HARD PASS!
