Solemn Oath Playing Cards

Unread post by Räpylätassu »

Tried to look if Oath Playing Cards has a Twitter account. Apperantly no, but I found this deck as an accident.

Solemn Oath playing cards by the Solemn Oath brewery. Appears to by fully custom (took a year of designing), printed by USPCC and holy mama, costs 5 USD per deck.

You can get them here

Here's information about the cards + a few pics

Pretty much all the pics I could find:

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

Shipping is $6 and usually I avoid buying things that cost more to ship than the price of the item itself buuuuut this is a great deal so maybe.

You might want to check the shipping rates for two decks or more in that case.

Edit: Just checked it myself and shipping for two decks within the States is still 6 USD.

A deck designed by/for a brewery has nicer court cards than most crowdfunding decks these days.

I ordered two. Waiting for them to be shipped out.

Tried ordering three, but the amount was updated in my cart to two saying there wasn't enough inventory.

Hmm... I just wonder how many they had left on the inventory when I posted about them. I would imagined some lurkers on this forum maybe also bought some.

Honestly, for what I could find, this deck was released in 2017, has never been on ebay, not for sale on any other website, no more pictueres of the cards besides the four you can in the website, two mentions on twitter other being the release announcment. If you or Brad could upload some pictures and upload them to Portfolio52, I would appreciate that greatly :D

If/when I get the decks, I will be happy to post some photos and add it to Portfolio52. I was surprised too by how they sold out. What is funny is was going to try to buy a brick, but decided to just go for a half-brick. I would have thought they had tons of them on hand. Seems like Luna Moon all over for me.

Thanks Sherman, but Brad already offered to send me a deck for free. So you could try to sell that extra deck with profit on ebay? :D Or just keep an extra deck for the collection.

Nowadays, if you have a decent phone, you have to really TRY to take a bad picture.

These are good quality and you can make out most of the details. Good 'summary' photos of the faces.

With as much as we're flooded by skeleton-laden decks, I like these a lot. Especially for a cheap deck.

I found another pretty good looking brewery deck! I only have one picture, with one deck available, with shipping from European site. Currently trying to buy it, have to create an account to the site to do so, which seems to be taking forever. I'll post about it if I get it!
