Fun design, Bee stock, and not-outrageous prices. I'll be in for a half brick of these.

It's nice that the queens have their pinkies out but I wonder why the rest of the courts don't? Would have been more fun IMO. Also the pictures show two different borders. The pic of the deck in his hands shows unrealistic USPCC borders so the other pics probably depict a more accurate rendering.

I asked Thomas about the unchanged pinkies on the Kings and Jacks on the preview page just now. Will post any response. The campaign says "All of the court cards have been reworked to emphasize Pinky Count in their own way." so that's certainly not true if the cards shown are final versions.

Those borders are going to make or break this deck for me. Fingers crossed that the pictures with thick borders are just prototypes, but even so - knowing USPCC I'm pretty sure they won't agree to the thin ones pictured.

From Thomas of Pinky Count:

"Hey Richard, good question! The Jack of Spades' pinky is rather subtle but i assure you it is there :).

As for the King of Spades we were considering including a duplicate KoS with his pinky out as one of the two ad cards for a fun color change effect. The reason it is not in the main deck is because the pinky on the KoS design would break the border of the card.

We have a few ideas for interesting ad cards but sadly only two slots. As soon as they are finalized we definitely post about it!"

And I saw this picture on Kardify showing better courts with pinky moves. Wide borders though.

I only like the courts. Doesn't look bad but can't do it. Better these than the Hocus Pocus deck.

Hey everyone - Thomas here from Pinky Count,

I just found out about this forum and THANK YOU to double_left for posting :)

Hopefully I can answer any questions you all might have.

First off the pinkies - all of the court cards do have their pinkies out in a unique way EXCEPT the King of Spades. There was some symbolic as well as practical reasoning behind this, but the cards aren't printed yet so nothing is set in stone.

I present to you the court cards:

https://ksr-ugc.imgix.net/assets/013/24 ... 12c966d051" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

https://ksr-ugc.imgix.net/assets/013/24 ... 9acb2cab1a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

https://ksr-ugc.imgix.net/assets/013/24 ... bae12b80e5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

https://ksr-ugc.imgix.net/assets/013/24 ... 12dddb6e71" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As for the borders, we 100% want thin borders. I have inquired about it and have been told it can be done but it is discouraged because of print variance. I have also been told unofficially that USPCC is a little more careful with small runs of cards. We will be going with the thinnest borders they allow (without going border-less that is :P)

Other specifics - the deck will be on Bee stock as you already know. Also, deck will be modern cut, not traditional cut. This is to facilitate in-the-hands faro shuffles over table faro's. The deck will come one faro away from our favorite stacked order, which I am sure you can guess once you cut the Four of Clubs to the top.

I know the design is pretty bold, it might not be for everyone but we had a lot of fun with it. It really fits our personalities and we hope it resonates with enough you guys that this deck becomes a reality. There are SO many decks on the market now and we wanted express something fun and original. Depending how this deck goes we have other designs in the pipeline :)

Lastly, we haven't locked in the 2 ad cards yet so if you have any suggestions or requests definitely let me know!

Anyways, thank you guys so much for taking the time to post about this and for showing interest. It really is amazing to me. This looks like a great community and I cant wait to look around the site more!

Some people do their in-the-hands top-to-bottom, but others do them bottom to top. Knowing bottom to top with a traditional cut gets you both table and in-the-hands.
(Anyways - that's why I'm not pledging.)

This is why I'm not pledging:
First of all, this is not a "bells and whistles" deck. And there's nothing wrong with that- not every deck has to be (or should be, IMO). But the tuck is just a little to plain for my liking. And I would like to see some sort of accent on the spot cards (even if it's something as subtle as the glow lines outlining to AoS). I like the theme. It's very unique but I'm not a huge fan of the title. As someone who doesn't open their cards, the tuck and title are all I see when displayed in my collection. I'm not saying that's my main criteria for buying decks but I would be pledging if those two aspects were a little stronger.

Having said all that I still think this is a nice deck and hope it funds. But it's just not nice enough to get into my wallet nowadays.
