First time posting, my latest deck is funding now on Kickstarter. This is my 4th Kickstarter campaign.
I have joined unitedcardists to help in promoting the campaign and to share other decks that I enjoy.
I do not respond to rude comments, I have seen way to many rude things posted on this forum about my designs and other peoples designs.
I am here for fans of playing cards. I am not sure why there is so much hatred posted, especially with the guidelines of this forum.
I support all card designers, and anyone that creates art and loves art.

Welcome to UC. I just want to point out a couple of facts for you. First of all, this is a public forum and people have the right and freedom to post and express themselves however they want (within the rules of decorum here at UC), so you're going to hear a lot of opinions. Secondly, most of the regular members at UC are very passionate about playing cards, which means you'll see some strong emotions sometimes.

So what does this all mean? You'll get the occasional member that may go into "jerk" mode and fly off the handle and maybe behave poorly. If all you want is people fawning over your work and kissing your ass, you should go somewhere else. If your skin is too thin and your ego too fragile and you can't handle any criticism, you're never going to grow or get better. But what you'll also find here at UC is honesty, perhaps brutally at times, but always honesty. You'll also find constructive criticism from very experienced and connected people that could improve your work and make you a better and stronger designer. And you may get the respect and patronage of some of the most knowledgeable collectors as your loyal customers.

As with most things in life, you have to take the good with the bad, but I like to think that if you have the proper attitude, you'll find that the good greatly outweighs the occasional bad here at UC.

Well it seems like we already have an over opinionated judgmental comment. That didn't take long. And it shows me exactly why these forums are seemingly useless. Even when you go out of your way to do something for people, they still deem it not good enough. I design decks for people that enjoy them, not for critics. If that is what this forum is about then I will immediately leave. I joined to help share positivity and other amazing artists hard work. But if this is how it is going to be then I don't have time for this. You know nothing about me and you are already making judgement's about me. When you say very passionate you have already proven my point. This forum is a breeding ground for angry people that ridicule art that they don't make themselves. And do I want people fawning over my work, did I ask for that. You say I want people to kiss my ads and that I have a thin skin? You know NOTHING about me and you are acting like you do. Let's see your artwork sinjin7 or just continue to hide behind the vail of an Internet troll. You say never going to grow and get better? What the heck kind of comment is that. Spoken like a true ignorant self righteous jerk. Artists create art for the love of it, not for critics. And it's apparent that this is what this site is all about. Critic's with way to much time on their hands. It took all but 1 hour to get you to post an absolutely useless statement proving how this site is filled with trolls. Constructive criticism is a double negative, people on this forum critique people based off of opinions. Your opinion is useless. People on this forum don't help designers, they stifle creativity. They complain and spread hateful lies about hard working artists for what? So they can vent their anger online, in anonymity? That's a coward in my OPINION. My attitude is quite simple. Hardworking artists that pour their soul into their work deserve credit. Collectors leech off the artists hard work and dedication and then worst off they resell their work at a higher price and the artist is left with nothing but their love for their craft. I have seen some of the most utterly ridiculous things said in this forum by people that you probaby know that are useless opinions. These are all opinions and you state them as facts? Like a public forum is meant for people to be rude? I don't understand your ridiculously long response to an introduction that said I'm here to share my work and the work of other hard working artists. Yet, you found some way to make it negative. I have no time for negative people so if that is what this forum is about. Then I am gone like the wind sinjin7.
By the way artists learn and grow through practice and repetition NOT through trolls on Internet forums. I've never joined a forum in my life and now it's become clear as to why. Your response sums up the seedy underbelly of the forum world. So hide behind you computer screen and bash people's work and spread lies and rumors. At the end of the day, you think you have control of people but you don't. Create something and put it out there. Then deal with forum trolls... I doubt you could make it. But then again this is all opinions right? You don't like something change the channel. Don't be a coward and post about how much you hate it to your sewing circle.

Botton line DUMB BLIND guy that can't even read what was posted by sinjin7!! He was so much expecting this that he had already his gun loaded, and unless you posted that his deck was the most beautiful deck ever (which clearly isn't, far from it) you would be shoot!!

Since we are just allowed to post good things here to grow this guy ego I think that there isn't much to do, I suggest we let this thread go down in the forum to place it should be....


I ask my self where are the good old creators, that came here showing there work accepting the criticism and created great pieces of art for us to collect.. Everyone seems to forget that big old JR came here and when he lauched his first project he broke the 100K barrier, nowadays these guys are so dumb that if they get over 5K is like winning the lottery...

Artists produce for art not for money. You literally have no clue what it takes. You just criticize.

I could show you lot of things that I created (as an Software engeneering working in the AAL field) but that's nothing compared to your "art" those beautiful things that you do that are very productive to the society, but I guess that's the max you can do, asking for more would be a big stretch.

Other than his first post, all this guy is doing is looking for a fight. For someone who doesn't want negativity, he sure likes to dish it out.

Darn! And I supported this guy's first deck, marginal as it may have been. Oh, well - looking for a fight, I suppose? This is just not the place to come looking to pick a fight, especially if you're trolling for trolls and a troll yourself.

Being perfectly honest, I've talked to Nate ("Untied States") before, and this SURE doesn't sound like him... Likely one of Bill Dragon / Jian's trolls from "Siren"?
