The sword through the ace back design is very similar to the Sentinels:

I thought of Sentinels the minute I saw the Sword deck...too much similarity, just like his last deck, where the backs were like the Rebels deck...guess he is a fan of T11

I think flesh toned faces only work with courts that are full-colored. With everything else black and white on the court cards, the flesh-toned faces jump out and look way out of place.

If you missed out on the previous deck, he's having an $8 sale on his Youtube channel.

Which is a punch in the face to everyone who supported his suspiciously funded campaign if you ask me. Which he did, and then he deleted my response and sent me a personal follow up which I won't get in to, as it's what you imagine.

So .. there's that.

Lots of decks go on sale after kickstarter campaigns. GW has sales, TOM has sales from stocks from project owners. I don't think having a sale is punching the backers in the face...

Whether a sale can be considered a punch in the face depends on a few different factors. If you sell most of your excess decks at a price significantly lower than what you offered them on Kickstarter, especially if you imply the Kickstarter price is the lowest price or preferential pricing for being a loyal backer, then that could be a punch in the face, especially if you do so within just months after you've completed Kickstarter fulfillment.

But if you still have some extra decks leftover several months after your completed fulfillment of your Kickstarter campaign and you want to liquidate your excess stock and you sell them off at a price that doesn't significantly under cut your Kickstarter pricing, then that wouldn't be a punch in the face.

As for this deck, if I wanted a deck that looks like a T11 deck, then I'll just get an actual T11 deck (and for less money with a better tuck box).

Right - but this had suspicious funding IIRC, like a $5k boost in one day with no deck pledges to support.

So if he pushed this over the finish in order to collect $13 pledges, then turn around and bulk sell for $8 -- that's a nut punch. Will not support this on principal now.

The indices should line up with the courts and pips. This is not a playable deck.

I agree. The whole corner area would be much better cleaned up.

Not to mention his responses to valid questions and concerns from potential backers/customers are extremely rude and immature.

Honestly, at first glance it looks incredibly busy. Lots of unnecessary elements (like the banners on the sides of the court cards, swords everywhere, etc.). I agree with the previous comment about the indicies not lining up on the court cards. Form and function both ruined. If it's cleaned up a bit, it could have potential.

Not a fan of these. Personally I think there should be a level playing field with all card projects on KS. If this one tried funding with a USPC printing goal, it wouldn't fund. This would help weed out the crappier decks on KS and only the good would get funded.

Oh you mean the vjose32 deck that was absolute garbage? Or should I say Veeve, Mason Deming, Jeriholic, or any other fake name you use to talk trash about hard working individuals that actually produce something?

Congratulations, you just lost a fan. I really enjoyed your music, kind of liked your first deck, and I also backed both. I also previously defended you and would have offered suggestions and considered your future work. Your attacks here ruined that. I don't know what you wanted to prove, but you made things worse and are just making yourself angry and negatively impacting your own personal health.

This concept of if you can't do better yourself don't criticize is ridiculous. I sure you hope you never criticize a meal at a restaurant, poor service, said a TV show or movie wasn't for you, etc. There are actually very few trolls here, but if there are why feed them?

I honestly hope you will grow from this and learn to separate the trolls from those who just have an opinion and more importantly from those that actually want to help you improve. Sadly I fear you'll just now attack me.

I personally don't like this deck either, but to be fair, jerichoholic didn't give any suggestions, he just called it a crappy deck.

He just implied it was "not good", which is still simply his opinion that he can freely state. It's not kind or helpful, but it doesn't break any rules and certainly doesn't warrant an outburst like that.

First of all I didn't say your deck was crap or garbage, never said that about any of your decks. I was simply referring to other decks on kickstarter. Second of all I have no idea who Mason Deming is, but it isn't me. I've only ever had 2 accounts on Kickstarter, jerichoholic and veeve, and don't even use the latter anymore. Please don't make snap accusations like this. Obviously i'm not the only one who isn't a fan of yours, ever think of that?

I also want to go on record and state that Ember Waves has threatened me with a cease & desist and claims of slander. I never personally attacked him, that I can recall, and only gave my thoughts and opinions on his products. I did what I thought was a nice review on the prototype of his first Untied States deck and was disappointed that it apparently wasn't good enough to be included on his project page, but didn't make a big deal about it. Outside of that i've only mentioned his other projects in my weekly update videos and even recommended backers check out his current project but that only resulted in more emails from him. But as per his requests, i'm done with his projects and even removed my review of his first deck.

I still don't know exactly what I did, or said, to set him off like this. It does not make good business sense to be a jerk to people simply because you disagree with an opinion or criticism.

Edit - I've checked out this Mason guy and he has backed all the same card projects as I have. Would it make any logical sense for me to do that with 2 different accounts? In fact he's also backed a lot of other projects that I haven't backed. Please get your facts straight before making false accusations.

Interesting reading from the past two threads that got locked out before I could put in my 2 cents.
Now I have the opportunity and I've got nothing to say except is UntiedStates related to billdragon or are they buddies? Just because these past couple of days with these two deck artists has been unreal.

I was astonished that NOTUnTiedStates actually took offense to my post in his thread, it was actually an attempt to welcome him and help him out. I just don't understand how guys like him and billdragon fail to recognize that it does absolutely no good antagonizing your potential customer base. It just illustrates their immaturity and lack of business savvy and their true characters are exposed for all to see.

Apparently they think we are attacking their design, not trying to help them. It's arrogance. They think they know what they are doing and spent so "many" hours on their work that there's no way anything could be wrong with their design. I'm sure if we really looked, most of the artwork/design/concept has actually been borrowed and/or slightly redesigned.

It has been determined that the person posing as "UntiedStates" above is not, in fact, the creator of this project. The troll's account has been renamed to "NOTUnTiedStates" in order to clarify. Whatever issues may or may not have been present in this campaign, the posts above attributed to NOTUnTiedStates are not from the creator known as "Ember Waves". We believe that this person is a troll whose interests lie with a different campaign.
