I understand you went with Indiegogo because Kickstarter makes it difficult for people outside the US to run campaigns (so I've heard). Hate to admit that successful playing card projects on IG are extremely rare. Nevertheless, much luck with your project!

As much as I like the back design, I find it difficult to like the other aspects of the cards. First of all theres a big disparity between the backs and the faces stylistically, and the tuckbox honestly looks like a mess. if you applied the back design to the entire tuckbox, it would improve it drastically. The way the courts are done are just not my thing.

Funding didnt make it, money was collected when you pledged, refunded when it failed. it only made 16% of the funds needed.

thats sad, I also received my money back. It was my favorite deck this year so far. So many shit decks get funded with kickstarter, but this cool deck didn't?

With very rare exception, decks on Indigogo don't fund. Ben beat that jinx with Mantercore.

Why do they fund on kickstarter so much easier? I'm not familiar with both, only a few playing card projects, but why is it so hard for playing cards to get funded on indiegogo?

Probably a lot of collectors and cardists prefer to stick to Kickstarter since that is where the best creators are, could also be the hassle of signing up for another similar site.

I believe that it is the payment methodology that turns most people off of IGG
For KS, you do not have to pay for anything up front and your pledge is only collected if the project hits its intended goal
For IGG, there are various funding methods and all require payment up front, which is what I believe is the biggest problem...one funding type is flexible funding where the creator gets all pledges immediately I believe, regardless if the goal is made or not (with this, many times the creator gets some money but not enough to complete the project, leaving the supporters out of their money and with no product, though not all the time...I actually supported a project that only receive 12% of its intended goal, but the creator still came through, though 1.5 years late)...the other type is fixed funding, which the creator only gets the funds if the project meets its goals.
