Black JAQK decks from Theory11

On the latest episode of Theory11s Muppet Show...er i mean Expose they start to talk about Black Friday and the releases for that day.
Images have been released on Facebook/Instagram and if you look close it looks like a JAQK deck.

I know it's another recolor, but JAQKs being one of my favorite all time deck, I can't wait !!!!!!

The JAQK decks are some of my favorites as well. Wouldn't mind seeing a black version at all. Hopefully, priced competitively rather than outrageously.

I like the idea of new JAQKs. However, personally, I think that silver would look better on the back design with metallic inks and all.

I always liked the JAQK decks, great colorful court cards. But I'm going to agree with voltangel, the black recolor is boring and doesn't do anything for me.

The original JAQK is gorgeous, such color and life to it along with lovely design and some custom features. It's been on the top shelf of my own collection since I got it. Taking that away and making it solid black sucks all the life out of it and it looks like almost every other black and white deck. It's not *bad* per se, but not inspiring like the original.

I have to agree with everyone else. I suppose I'll get one, just so I don't have two out of three, and I have several reds and maybe four blues on-hand, but - I sure don't see any reason to feed the fire of this rampant rip-off of just putting things out in a new color and calling it a new deck. It's categorically not.

Think about Ellusionist "finding" 5000 decks of Red Arcane. Really? How the heck do you 'misplace' 5000 decks? You don't, they screwed everybody that bought an uncut, went and reprinted them - for the love of money.

Just a note that you can stil go to JAQK Cellars website and purchase as many Blue JAQK decks as you want for $9 + shipping right now, at least that was the way it was a week ago when I was snorting around for the "Black JAQK".

since I have neither the blues nor the reds (and too cheap to buy 'em off eBay), I'm most likely gonna pick these up

but I do echo what every1 is saying, that the black loses some of its charm

but eh... 'Black' Friday and all

I haven't seen enough of the tuck to make a decision. I have a split brick blue and red, will pick some of these up, just not sure how deep. Have there been any good pics of tuck released yet?

IMO if T11 were going to make a recolour of the JAQKs, they should have done it in Gold or Yellow or a champagne sort of colour. That way it would fit in with the wine/alcohol theme of the decks.

Heck, you can still buy the blue decks for $9 each plus shipping from "JAQKcellars.com". I don't remember what shipping was, but I got 4 a month or two ago.

It's a very classy deck but without color I'm not sure this is even a lateral move. They could have gone gold and there would be the perception of a step up from the previous two, but there's something very flat about this one. That said, I'll pick up a few if they're not part of some pyramid scheme.

I totally agree with you on this.
My guess why they went for a black theme is simply the black friday sale.
It fits the theme of the big sale perfectly
