Based on the teaser and their track record of delivering quality this looks like an instant back from me!
Hope they do the tobacco tins again. Still on the look out for an Osprey / Goshawk tin.

From Alex on FB:
"....a deck taking inspiration from the infamous phantom hound known as Black Shuck, a British cryptid who first appeared one dark stormy night in 1577..."

Fingers crossed for some great custom courts - this should be a solid campaign

Hey everyone - thanks for the positive comments! This should be a fun campaign

The courts are all unique and drawn from scratch, and more will be revealed in time, but they take their cues from very ancient playing cards, in keeping with the theme
Cheers!

Think I can hear the Shuck will attack soon

I like the Shuck tuck and AoS so I am thinking about this one. Ideally I would prefer no name on the card back and for the faces to be a little less aged.

These look great, my only complaint is that every time I look at these I have to spend the rest of the day trying to get this song out of my head…

Yep, The Darkness are from the same part of the world where Shuck is known to linger...

You know, these look great, but I guess my anticipation got the better of me. I expected more cryptids art from the cryptids deck.

Yeh we always aim for that old-school way of customising the tuck, back, Ace of Spades and jokers while allowing the faces and courts to be standard/standard-ish (or at least recognisable) and functional for games play etc. rather than fully deviating into customised everything and leaving the venerable deck of cards behind. Our design philosophy is generally to create decks of cards that are
"custom enough to be collectable, yet standard enough to be usable" - you will find this with all or most of our decks
In other news - we are launching in 24h!
Hope to see you there

Shipping is a bit high. To Aus it is £14 and after I add a couple of things it goes up to £19. The same parcel size from JP Games only costs me £10. £9 might not sound much but that is $17au

We simply pass on the cost of shipping, often absorbing some of the additional costs of sellotape, bubble-wrap, boxes, mail bags, labels (which all add up) and spending 2-3wks hunched over our dining room table picking and packing hundreds of parcels
We also send everything tracked, which adds cost compared to some other options. We used to send smaller packages standard or economy which would save money but learned that tracking is the better choice and switched to sending everything tracked, even single decks of cards.
Obviously I can't speak for JPGames but I can't imagine he's in too different a boat when it comes to international shipping costs.
Cheers!

Shipping is a killer. £14/$19us is too much for one deck when I am buying anywhere and therefore I generally look to bundle.
So this KS I look at another deck (a standard and gilded) plus a tin (very rare for me to choose so a compliment

) but then the shipping goes up to £19. I cannot see that the extra single deck should change the shipping cost and both decks can go in the tin so once again I think the shipping can still stay at £14 - this is how it would go with a seller as opposed to KS IMO

As Alex himself implied, our situation is broadly similar. Royal Mail don't give a lot of business discounts anymore, especially since a lot more of international goes via DHL now.
Our shipping to international countries is subsidised and artificially low, especially for larger heavier weights. At some point those prices will have to begin to rise a bit more.

Funnily enough.. even today we've had someone tell us our international shipping prices are too high. Given than we subsidise and lower the prices across the board, it just proves you can't please everyone unfortunately.
