 Gotta love a rigged prize wheel. I work in digital marketing. These things have very fine controls. I understand there's only so much inventory that they want to give away, but I'd much rather they just do a sweepstakes with random drawings. It would give participants a more realistic impression of their actual odds.

And after several years of participation you too can earn $12.50 worth of points - hopefully Disney has lowered the price of admission…

I've gotten "No reward" for 5 out of the last 6 days. It's been a while since I took a statistics class, but that means I'm due for a big prize any day now, right??

The trick is to time your spin to align with the local high tide.

I started with six points wins in a row (250 total) and now I have rolled seven blanks in a row.

Amazing isn’t it? Out of the 16 slots on the wheel, 11 are actual prizes that aren’t just points. So, if it were an actual wheel, each spin has an over 60% chance to win. Funny that out of just the spins that have been reported here, not one actual win.

Not really. Such wheels are almost never equal probability. What I don't understand is why they actually have 0 as a "prize". I mean, just give people points instead of 0. The actual value of the points are measured in fractions of a penny and you can even expire them if you like so you don't hav eto book them as a liability. Giving people a "bad" experience when you can avoid just never makes sense to me. I stopped spinning the wheel many years ago.

My sarcasm didn’t shine through enough 😉

The whole concept of a fixed prize wheel is a horrible user experience. It would be a much better experience to just do giveaways. KWP nailed it. I didn’t win, but it was fun coming back each day to see the sales (ended up snagging a few decks) and enter the code.
