Hi all
Apologies if folks have already seen my occasional posts on Reddit re this deck concept. I’ve been playing with it off and on for a year or so.
It’s dairy themed with a retro advertising illustration vibe.Wholesome, but with a few little dystopian cracks in the nuclear family veneer (a bit industrial-military complex / a bit Stepford Wives).
I’ve got most of a deck in draft at this point but some is still rough. I’ll aim to share more pics as I sharpen them up.
Love to get your feedback - if the concept has appeal - and if you think it has enough legs for a small Kickstarter.
The back design is my favourite part but concerned people might find it too plain.

Re: Dairy Playing Cards
I like it. All of the above are good but as I am trying to resist buying more decks (I only ever wanted to have 200 or so LOL), so they will still need something clever to seal the deal (of course they will have a silver foil seal) - maybe interesting pip cards, clever jokers, or a great AoS

Re: Dairy Playing Cards
Thanks Honeybee. Appreciate the feedback. I also like to keep my collection tight and curated - so totally get that. I’ll share more designs over coming days. See if anything grabs you.Honeybee wrote: ↑Sun Sep 21, 2025 1:39 am I like it. Also exploring some unusual finishing options like edge printing the blue and white stripe pattern so it wraps around the deck - or using a glossy but non-metallic pure white “foil” (or maybe spot UV) so the milk parts are super glossy white. I don’t want to get carried away and trick it out with incongruous elements but fun seeing what’s possible.

Re: Dairy Playing Cards
Here’s a few more courts. There’s implied stories woven through them. Aiming to keep it mostly pure and wholesome and just drop the occasional ‘trouble in paradise’ bit.
The aces are ice-cream themed - each in the shape of the relevant suit - with cheesy advertising slogans.
