Here is a P52 link to Stefan's only other pair of decks 10yrs ago. I have provided the link to the 2016 GEISTREIZ (opposed to the 2015) as this page has 10 interesting pics

https://www.portfolio52.com/deck/3828/view

Edit: Better still, here is the original KS from 2015/16

AND here is an old UC thread about it

Awesome court card! My only criticism, and this isn't unique to Stefan, is when artists try to get fancy with their letters and end up making certain letters look almost illegible. The lowercase i curvature just makes me read it as Lufe at first glance before the word context kicks in shortly after. It's also not cohesive. SUITS and OF are all caps and then Life is not. Perhaps it's for emphasis and I am too much of a plebeian to understand the artist's vision for SUITS OF Life :ugthink:

Few other pics available on the KS. Looks like it might be a semi-transformation(ish) deck. I am interested, but not so hot on the back.

These look really interesting! I totally agree about the choice of lettering on “Life” though. I’m curious about the thought process there, as it is barely readable if you don't already know the title.

Incredibly so, I wonder what they would look like in B/W as I think the coloring is adding to their muddy look.
I realize not many would settle for B/W and with the amount of detail they would probably look like a maze rather than amaze

Yes, but they're more of an art portfolio than a players deck. I wouldn't pull these out for poker night, but for a relaxing game of solitaire where I can enjoy the art they'll look great.

I dont buy standard decks at all, I like art decks but this is a bit much even for me.

It's wonderful how personal and subjective art is. I love this sort of style, just wish the back design was better.

Absolutely love this...but I'm starting to shy away from Kickstarters from deck designers that aren't big names in the industry. I see angry posts from people who still have not received their Great Gatsby or Alice's Adventures in Wonderland decks, among others. I'll pay for these decks once they are produced and in stock.

I have learned to be skeptical as well, but it looks like his past campaigns delivered, and he has also released behind the scenes videos about the inspiration and process. I'll take a chance on this one.

Happy to see Stefan fund this early. I have been following his project on Reddit for a minute and it's just fantastic.

KG shared the first video, but Stefan has a series on YouTube going over the whole process of making this deck. Well worth watching if you're interested in that sort of thing https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... -03dnrdiU4

I am thinking that these youtube videos must be a fantastic promotion tool for I am amazed that this deck has attracted over $30,000us in funding. Some wonderful designers, who have had ridiculous struggles for funding, should take note.

To further add to your point, Ten Hundred was able to attract over $2 million in funding. Becoming a talented and well-known artist is the hard part.
