Hey everyone - a quick update, the artwork has been finalised and the prototypes are on their way to Chris Moyer for photography - as soon as the photos are in hand I will return to post some for you guys. This is a follow-on from our
Osprey & Goshawk set, inspired by Raptors of the British Isles. We are planning on some tasteful gold and green foil on the tuckbox for this one and individually numbered seals, and deliberately keeping the campaign small and simple as we are aware we still have a lot of people waiting for our Albatross campaign, which was a big project and is currently in production - as the Golden Eagle is essentially a single deck campaign we are looking at ways to get the decks ready to go early so backers won't be waiting on two of our projects (we are hoping the Albatross campaign will be close to fulfilment or already fulfilling by the time Golden Eagle closes). Those who enjoy our more classic/traditional offerings should like this one.
Enough from me

you can sign up to pre-launch notifications
HERE and I look forward to showing you the campaign photography once it's done.
Cheers

Sensational! This looks like a Golden to my amateur eye... what say you?
Fabulous creature

I stand corrected, not a Golden at all. Very similar in appearance when on the ground, but from googling, very different in flight - and HUGE!! Wow. Very fortunate encounter I'd say. Congrats

The video was focused much better and I loved how he jogged along the road before taking off.
He is the closest we come in Oz to a Golden - he is a Wedge-tailed.
I have had the pleasure of seeing a couple at close range in this same area - Victoria Valley just south of the Grampians.
It is a stunning farming valley, bordering a National Park and the farms pretty much escaped the recent bushfires

Launching in a week's time on April 22nd at 4pm UK time (11am Eastern/8am Pacific)! We hope to see some of you at the start line

A few photos of the project, which will include a deep British Racing Green colourway on the tuck and backs, tastefully applied gold foil on the classic tuckbox, new artwork on the Ace of Spades & Jokers, individually numbered sticker seals and a collector's edition in a custom Carat Case and gold gilding - all while retaining the DNA of our Osprey & Goshawk decks. Cheers!

What is wide deluxe size? Is that supposed to be the same as standard poker size?

Ah, yes, the "Deluxe" is inside the box and is supposed to be read in sequence: "Golden Eagle Deluxe Playing Cards".
Wide size is an old-fashioned way of saying Poker size and is interchangeable. Narrow size would be Bridge.
Cheers!

Foiled tuck samples arrived yesterday. Apologies for the poor quality phone pics! Tucks are very nice in person though, I'm super happy with how they've turned out, very premium look/feel to them.
