₊‧.°.⋆˚₊‧⋆. I am a collector, player, magician and cardist Oᵥ_ᵥO most often though, I am collecting, designing, and playing. I have a particular interest in medical-themed decks, anything circus themed, and decks with unique/creative themes ₊‧.°.⋆˚₊‧⋆.

*photos attached*

Was absolutely ecstatic for this deck to go up as individual sale! Bought it the day it went up. It arrived 3 days early, too >:) Oᵥ_ᵥO

This deck has been my White Whale since it came out as an exclusive for people who had the (expensive;-;) Curiosity Box subscription! I thought I’d just have to wait and pray to the card-gods that I could snatch one off eBay, but I guess miracles DO happen >ᵥ_ᵥ< (when nerds of both the card and science variety poke at a company long enough, saying “hey, hey, hey, we want it, hey, question, hey, can you sell this, hey, hey, when are you—“ until they get wise and recognize potential profit, LMAO)

☆REMARKS: Absolutely beautiful deck, the coronal slices are gorgeous. Their colors are vibrant and the detail is fantastic. The glare in my photos is undesirable and affects my ability to capture their appearance well, however I did my best. When held alone, the clarity of the individual clear cards is so incredibly good: when held out the colored portions sometimes just look like they’re free-floating. I absolutely thought these may be a pain to shuffle, but was so pleasantly surprised to find out that they shuffle like a DREAM. One of the best flexes and slides I’ve ever felt in a shuffle. Beautiful sound, too. I straight-up involuntarily gasped. The jokers working as an overlay to identify and label major organs and bones is super creative, I was delighted by this feature. These cards’ aesthetic appearance is everything I hoped it would be. ***(NOTE: Fondness of design/design concept may be an acquired taste, as anybody with no interest in anatomy/science/medical topics may not find the same type of appeal. However, I would like to assert that my review of the actual quality of design is unbiased: I enjoy medical themed decks and anatomy, but I am still very particular about the quality of executing those themes. If this deck had been badly printed, had dissatisfying clarity, any struggle to shuffle, etc. I would say so. The colors are vibrant and the lines are crisp. The detail put into this creation is truly admirable.)
These cards may not be suitable for Players or Magicians. They’re certainly a Collectors Deck first. As others have pointed out, this deck is technically marked. That is not debatable, it is just true. Risk Assessments: You could use the differing slices to estimate what kind of cards somebody else may have after a little familiarizing yourself with the deck. Not exactly what cards, because while card 3 and card 48 are going to be very different, adjacent cards like cards 20-25 will be nearly identical by nature of coronal slicing. Maybe I can guess that you’re holding some Hearts, but not which ones. Perhaps, with some (*a comically ridiculous amount of*) time and ruthless (*nearly masochistic*) practice, one could manage to learn them well enough to completely read them. The easiest version of this, and most likely, would be only memorizing exactly what the aces and/or faces look like. Additionally, and a definite problem, the jokers are totally different from the rest of the cards— so if you have a joker, it’s guaranteed that everybody will know. Excluding games that require concealing the possession of a joker, you could probably manage a few game rounds without knowing what your fellow players are holding. But it won’t take long for people to start naturally catching on to what’s-what. I myself will still use it intermittently in very casual games, using inconsistency of use to discourage/deter learning. You’ll have to re-arrange them after shuffling for any display purposes, but luckily, I do not mind that.
These limitations, to me personally, are a sacrifice worth making for this aesthetic/novelty deck. It’s definitely not for everyone— it is, however, absolutely for Me. ☆ᵥ_ᵥ☆
***(And as my grandma [who also collects and plays] joked: “Hun, if you can sit your ass down and memorize 52 slices of a body, I think you deserve to cheat,” lol)

Thanks for the fan (sloppy as maybe) I didn't quite understand the concept of the clear cards until the fan picture which made it all make sense. Incredibly unique card concept!
