Still not allowed back into our town yet and once again having it reinforced that I live in a somewhat dangerous location I am pondering our Home and Contents Insurance and would like to hear from other countries
I dropped Contents insurance for 2024 because they put the premium up 99%. With 2025 insurance due I have added it back on as I have to admit I am scared the place is going to burn down.
Back in 2023 our Contents insurance was $391
In 2024 they wanted $779
In 2025 it is going to cost $1,289
That would make it 330% of the '23 price or a jump of 230% in 2yrs
Is this happening anywhere else in the world?
