For the past few days, the Portfolio52 website has been down and is no longer accessible.
Is there anyone who can resolve this?
Thank you

Unfortunately we don't have any more information than you do

I wonder if guys behind PF52 are aware of this issue. This should be the perfect place to answer and give news.

I would be 99.99% sure that they are aware Max. Information/Communication would of course be great and you would think a minimal requirement but some in the card world do not seem to work like this

I would assume the site is NOT coming back; sadly.
It was an awesome place to upload and maintain decks that were in everyone’s collection.
Who knows, maybe one day we’ll see it come back online or someone will create a newer version (fingers crossed).
Cheers,
KW

Geez, I‘ve to display my decks now in real.
Did hope to avoid that effort.
Nah, just kidding. Hope we will see P52 back soon.

The longer your site is down, it becomes old news, ancient history and is forgotten.
Agreed, a reply from the owners on the status would be nice for all of the members.
Is it being fixed or is the site history?

Doesn’t sound like a Lotrek disciple to me - I’m in the club and have never heard the word “week” before

Confession.
I used to love looking at the recently add list while I was at work and thinking, "hsbc bought clearance sale playing cards at Socal again." I can't stand not seeing it for two weeks.
I hope it come back.

Anyone know what is going on with P52? It's been down the last couple of days at least. Someone should contact Alex to get it fixed.

There's another thread here: [threads merged]
But, we're none-the-wiser, either.

I did send a message to their instagram this morning to make sure they were aware - no response yet

I'd give it at least another week or two, but if push comes to shove I will do everything I can to help create a replacement

Anyone know what is going on with the website? Been at least a week, possibly more, with it not working.

It has been down for 10+ days and according to some the website has been "deleted." I would be very surprised if it came back to life at this point. Russ Doucette at P52 Playing Card community is interested in launching a replacement, but it is SUCH a tall order.

He should take notes from Board Game Geek on how to make a good website.

Doesn't portfolio52 own this website as well. It looks like on their Instagram they said this was acquired by them. If that is the case and they are closing port52 I feel like this would be next on the chopping blocking. Hosting a highly trafficked website can be costly.

I absolutely don't think whatever is going on is on purpose

Not seeing news so much as more of the same to be found here.
Also, checking the domain record and godaddy I don’t see any record of deletion - portfolio52.com domain still active

I checked that, too. I also asked Nurul if he knew anything about it when sorting out my DOTY prize, but they've yet to answer.

He did respond on Facebook saying he doesn't know anything and hopes someone can reach Alex. It's a problem when the guy who runs the the Facebook/Instagram account can't reach him.

I imagine (hope) that it's an issue with the hosting; maybe a missed payment or something.
Aside from the obvious calamity of the loss of an enormous amount of information, images, and records of collections, I'm miffed because I source* the tuck images for my own site from there.

If it ever comes back online, some tech savvy people need to download it in some sort of database format. I'd happily download and store the entire archive somewhere. The 5mb picture limitations make me think it wouldn't be too huge of a download, with a lot of it being text data. By not too huge, I mean it could be in the realm of storeable for an average joe.
Part of it is sparked by me wanting to get a NAS. There's a Ugreen NASync coming out on Kickstarter in March. It's a risk to trust a new NAS with proprietary OS, but for a newb like me, it seems like a good solution for a beginner. I am not techy, but I can self-teach and tend to be the one my family goes to for tech related stuff, so I've got that going for me
