Penguin has put out a number of Plaid decks now; I think this one plus the Michigan Plaid are my favourites so far.

At $100 a deck I'd expect more bling.

Well, with $100 order you get a tarbell video, a deck of Winter Star, and the Christmas Plaid - seeing that penguin has such good prices in general and free shipping, hard to knock

It's a $200 purchase to get the Christmas Plaid deck. Only 422 left (out of 500).

Of all the decks we've produced this year (and there have been a lot) I'd easily put this one in my top 5. The red foil on the tuck gives just the right amount of festive "oomph" but overall I'm a sucker for more traditional/classic decks. Really has the right vibe for games & tricks during holiday gatherings!

Given that this is called a plaid deck, I think it was a huge oversight for the court cards not to be dressed in plaid.

It's not a $100 deck. That's just an arbitrary price to indicate this is only available as a promo item that they're giving away for free, as part of their TGIF offers.
