Egoism by Thirdway Industries

Gio has recently been posting some photos on his IG of the new Egoism deck that has a much more "standard" style, very excited for these because even though the court design tends more towards a traditional look, that is different vs. the usual style for TWI decks

Look, I love boobies just as much as the next guy, but I can't be the only one thinking cleavage on a standard court looks really out of place...

It's because we've been collecting and looking at playing cards for so long that a standard-ish queen is like our grandmothers. And no one wants to see that...

Hehehe

Granted it does look a little … unusual, but it has become a bit of a TWI trademark.

I have to say that I really like this "standard-ish" look. It has the classic elements we all know and love but Gio's style stays evident throughout. I really look forward to owning this deck

Definitely a big fan of Gio’s version of standard courts! Might end up being one of my favorite designs of his.

A non player, collector version would be nice featuring these courts.

Agreed. I love his cards, but the standard semi-gloss boxes always leave me wanting. They make the decks look a little on the cheap side.

Hehe they're still available (at launch price) - if you already did an order and you're bummed for double shipping, contact me and I can help! (giovanni@thirdway.it).

Just got my patrons, I really love these but also really wish designers moved on from uspcc... These have loose cello which I can live with but when it's paired with the bottom coming unglued it really takes aways from the deck 😢

Like it's such night and day when it comes with monolith and you immediately see them next to each other.. I'm just a collector so I don't care about feel and all but you get monolith that's well packaged and then egoism which is badly packaged and it makes the bad packaging look even worse

Entaro: I 100 percent agree with you. When I laid out my Patreon package, I said the same exact thing to myself about the USPCC Tuck and packaging. The fit and finish was subpar. Now keep in mind I am just talking about the tucks. I had some issues with the recent SINS tucks too, and it annoys me. Cards inside are wonderful and so is the art. Same with recent Blaine offerings. Seeing a downward trend here, and it points toward USPCC.

Member when Nicolai mocked USPCC for bad foiling on the Luminosity tuck box?
Plot twist: They didn't do the tuck boxes but Gambler's.
I can imagine that Gio uses USPCC for the plain glossy tuck boxes but are you sure?
Furthermore if you move your attention to the Singularity thread you see how awesome the move to EPCC worked, lol.

I'm not sure at all Harvonsgard, but I will defer to you and your insider expertise with printing, as I believe you have mentioned you are either in the business or were in the business. The cards are some of the best he has done. And I really like the color scheme on the tuck too. It just could have used a bit more fit & finish. Perhaps in a later edition...

Fair I don't know if it's uspcc or GW dropping the ball here, but unfortunately the point is the same, I agree cards and all are fantastic and I don't hold it against Gio at all, but I'm the collector/tuckist so displaying them is most important to me and it's just not a good look lol like maybe it's beating a dead horse at this point, but like even opening a deck I don't want to have to reglue the bottom myself right after opening a deck for the first time out of the cello lol

Absolutely understandable. Tell us Gio, who is responsible?

I imagine it will all be sorted out by the time I order some - I’m waiting for version 4, the gilded foiled holo with special edition tuck v2 ;)
