MPC, and um details I guess? It's a project. Interesting I personally am slightly interested but it's a pass.

This piqued my interest as a potential Christmas gift for some family members. However, after speaking with MPC, these cards are definitely not suitable for regular game play. When the light hits the card, it is indeed very easy to determine your opponent's cards :) Fun idea, especially with the clear tuck, but I will sit this one out.

The only ones I ever liked were Bicycle's Prestige. Pass from me as well.

Well, MPC has just created an entirely new form of the Invisible Deck trick. Will be interesting to see if magicians will start using the Aqua deck and other MPC decks to perform similar tricks like the phantom deck trick that Shin Lim performed on AGT. It's still cheaper by about $10 than buying the trick and it comes with it's own transparent tuckbox.

In the hands of a decent card magician, I could see the Aqua deck and MPC decks being used quite spectacularly.

I agree, which is why I got a pair. As a magician, though, not a collector.

I have a custom Omni box that will go much better with this deck than the current "Phantom deck with a DS1 or Titan case" arrangement I previously used.

And depending on how well they handle, score, burn, fold, and hold a signature, there can be plenty of tricks I can try out.

So I am actually a little excited about this as a deck from that perspective. But yeah, these go into the "Magic decks and utilities" bins, not the Collection bins.

Daisho, that'll be so cool. Would love to see you post a video of some of the tricks you do with the Aqua deck here. :ugdance: The Omni and Phantom deck trick Shin did on AGT was so cool to see, even if you knew how he did it.

Gotta admit, I did laugh a bit at this deck when I first saw it, but yeah I can definitely see it's potential if incorporated into a magic routine. The other thing I think this would be super useful for is teaching magic and cardistry tutorials on youtube. It'd be great for showing finger placement and demonstrating mechanics, and it'd be a lot easier to follow along when you can see through the cards.

That was the same reaction from me when I saw it. But thinking about the invisible deck, got me seeing the usefulness as magic trick. Never thought about it being used as a tutorial even though I've seen a few who used transparent cards to teach. That would be so cool to be able to see how to work the sleights, switches and move gimmicks around while holding a deck or spread.

MPC may have unintentionally created a deck which may totally change the way cardistry and card magic tutorials are done. Others may have also seen the potential for this deck in magic and cardistry as well, based on some of the comments. 2 days in and already their 5th highest backed project out of 12, even though there's only 1 deck and it's their most expensive deck for now.
