[Buyer's Guide] dealersgrip
Dealersgrip was founded 2014 in Denmark by Oliver Sogard and Tobias Levin. In the beginning they worked together to create cardistry videos and tutorials, until Tobias parted to create his own brand "A1", together with Nikolaj Honore Peterson and Noel Heath.
What seperates dealersgrip from other cardistry brands is their, in comparison, small output on decks. Only 5 decks in 5 years, with no deck printed more than 5.000 units, makes it clear that dealersgrip is all about quality over quantity. All decks share a modern art inspired look and always come with a thicc white border, to visually seperate packets while doing cardistry.

[Buyer's Guide] dealersgrip - UPDATE
About Dealersgrip
Dealersgrip was founded on 2014 in Denmark. It is the brainchild of Oliver Sogard and Tobias Levin, both reknown cardist in the region. In the beginning they worked together to create cardistry videos and tutorials, until they started to produce their own playing cards. Shortly after a few years of the creation of this brand, Tobias left to be with the other cardistry brand - A1WW [Anyone Worldwide], hence Oliver becomes the sole holder of DG.
Their series of decks featuring modern art inspired look and always comes with a thick white border. This white border is meant to visually seperate packets while doing cardistry. All of the artwork are purely abstract, from random strokes of brushes, slapping photos, simple or complex shapes and forms, and with gradient and/or harmonious colors. Their deck's 7 of Spades will always have the middle pip rotated to the left rather than standing up. Their motto is "Put your thoughts on paper". Dealersgrip is well-known for the small amount of print run of each edition as well as the glossy tuckbox with seal [on previous iterations] and matte tuckbox with die-cut windows [on newer iterations]. Dealersgrip's brand logo is a graphical icon of a hand holding a deck of cards in the position of a dealer's grip. Oliver likes the idea of how many possible combinations of a playing card order, so you might find references of 52! around their decks.
On 2021, Dealersgrip collaborates with Dan and Dave's signature Smoke and Mirror - creating Dealersgrip take on Smoke and Mirror: they called it โTheatrical Cloud & Solidified Beamโ. "Theatrical Cloud" is for the Smoke, while "Solidified Beam: is for the Mirror. DG's Smoke featuring an abstract art of puffing smokes - DG's Mirror featuring an abstract art of reflective pillars. The cards are printed bt USPCC, and tucked in premium matte tuckbox with die-cut window - Mirror has spike blast shape, Smoke has cloud shape. More Dealersgrip collaboration with Dan and Daveโs Smoke and Mirror features the reimagined V4 to V6: GARDEN - THE LAST MACHINE - THE FIRST HUMAN, also feature cards printed by USPCC and tuckbox in premium matte stock with die-cut window.
Decks listed with double stars are collaboration decks. The listing comes with the deck code the brand made - the main versions [listed in BLUE color] - the extra 'A' is just my add-on to mark the alternate tuckbox variant (which just the same cards, only different tuckbox - only available in very low print run - sold for $52 flat) and gilded decks [listed in RED color]

FYI, Prologue was for sale on it's own afterwards.
Kinda odd to almost copy and paste the prior post instead of simply continuing it; unnecessary clutter.

I could write an in-depth analysis of this post and what is wrong about it and why OP is constantly making such false claims in regrads to certain brands but it could come of as very blunt and might break UC's no personal attacks rule so, I'll leave it at: "Laito, just another objectively false statement from you."laitostarr777 wrote: โFri Feb 21, 2025 10:46 pm That's because they don't do anything to the Courts - aka the deck just simply have standard classic courts

You're a light in the darkness. Off course dealersgrip has more decks with custom courts. As a rule of thumb you could apply though, if you don't like what you see at Glisk, seek no further - just to save you time. If you like what you see at Glisk:
Sepal (& Serene), Scene, all of the S&M collab editions, Offworld and Havoc have all custom courts for sure. There might be even more of their decks with custom courts but me dunno.

My claims are simply because: those who get DG latest decks: Oliver, Logo, and Plateau > they have standard courts. And I compare it to Fontaine on their recent releases: Casino, Blue Glitch, Vacation, and Botanical > they ONLY share the back design, and thatโs it, and people who get them eventually sees standard courts. In listing perspective, why the need of showing the courts if you donโt do something custom on it?
This is one reason I rarely hang out in United Cardists: you for one, being the โknow it allโ, โhaving the said experiencesโ and say what this and that person doing is wrong. This may counted as personal attack to you, and Iโd be happy if I get kicked out here if it means to never see you again.

Your claim is and was plain and simply wrong. I proved this by naming the decks, that I'm aware of, which feature fully custom courts.
Dunno what your problem is? Well, that's a lie; I know but that's for another place and time.
If someone shows me a mistake I made, I'll happily thank them and state that I stand corrected and move on. If you don't want me to be a know it all, then stop posting lies - simple as that.

My problem is HOW you make it sound like whatever I am doing here in United Cardists is nothing but telling โliesโ to people. I am okay with some people telling me if whatever I said is wrong and such, but again, the way you saying it is as if: โOh, you are deadly wrong and I am going to save the day with showing how knowledgeable I amโHarvonsgard wrote: โTue Mar 18, 2025 9:23 pm Your claim is and was plain and simply wrong. Iโd appreciate all your knowledge and experiences, but I am sorry, most of the times you appear like โI can do betterโ. If you really have the experiences, why not try make your own deck of cards, see if you can do everything by yourself?

I addressed critisicm in the past in a normal matter but nothing happend so what do you expect?
Till now it was too much to ask for you to write, "Sorry @honeybee I spreaded misinformation, there're quite some dealersgrip decks with fully custom courts."
You didn't even take the minute it takes to edit your wrong claim here... Why is that soooo hard? Is it ignorance? Disrespect for the community? Disrespect for people that look for reliable information about decks at UC?
Instead you take your time to make excuses for said wrong information being spread, then rant about how I voice my critique and move on to create a strawman with

Not just that it is a strawman, because expertise and knowledge has nothing to do with information being correct or false nor does my ability to draw, create or produce a deck have anything to do with said information being right or wrong but hell yah, gimme โฌ250,000 so that I can lay down my actual work for a year and I'll create you a deck that will be in multiple deck of the year conversations - just leaving that here for the sake of someone with that kinda money being curios enough to see what a Harvonsgard deck would look likelaitostarr777 wrote: โTue Mar 18, 2025 9:41 pmIf you really have the experiences, why not try make your own deck of cards, see if you can do everything by yourself?

Currently, DG's latest decks - Logo, Oliver, and Plateau: they are using Standard Courts. The rest of the listings (as of when I typed this), the Courts are shown because they did customization there.
My comparison to Fontaine is towards their recent four new decks: Casino - Botanical - Vacation (Island) - Blue Glitch. Those four decks only showing the back design, and no Courts, so meaning: the deck will be using Standard Courts.
I apologize if my comment above making you assume every decks in DG are using Standard courts.

Re: [Buyer's Guide] dealersgrip
Well that was an unexpected bit of argument - silly me not expecting hot debate in the dealersgrip threadโฆ
It is of note that they do show the faces in the โsee them in actionโ links - and do describe them as 4 pip in the text - so they are hardly being secretive on Oliverโฆ
Oliver: https://dealersgrip.com/oliver
Glisk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99Dc5PLKE2I
Plateau seems to be same as Oliver for the faces save the Ace, but that is assumption at this point.
It is generally safe to assume if you donโt see faces they are likely standard, but it is not a surety.

Regarding Fulton - the marketing on the Arcade deck promised some unforgettable faces - as standard as they were I will never forget - ground my gears.
