Not sure why this deck does not have it's own thread, given that it has been mentioned on this forum a few times already. Brilliant looking cat themed transformation deck. Hold on, something big is on the news... Ah, just something about a worlds largest squeal of excitement was just heard coming somewhere from Germany. Strange. Anyways, some pics

If you still have both eardrums after that squee, it may be because she's seen it before. I actually sent Amy a PM about this one a couple months back.

This was before I tragically contracted the prion disease and forgot how PMs work.

very true; but just like my idiot cat's cute little bug-eyed smush face, I still squeal everytime I see it because I just love it so freakin' much! A-DORBS! <3 lol

The most unrealistic thing about this deck is that the cat is taking care of the plant and not eating it.

I'm surprised this is new to so many people, it's been on PCD.com for a few months and I'm pretty sure it was in a Pip Box too. There's also a dog version

Why does PCD list it as Cartamundi, though? The tuck actually looks like Cartamundi too with the smaller, rounder thumb cut-out. And the cello. But it's made in the US??

I thought I read somewhere Cartimundi had a printing facility in Texas?

Edit: if you Google Cartamundi a printer in Dallas comes up.

STLBluesNut,

That is the U.S. subsidiary of Cartamundi. The Dallas, TX location is the one that actually prints the English edition of Magic: The Gathering. Fun fact.

Very cool. I was just pointing out how this deck could possibly be printed by Cartamundi and be made in the US.

TwoPiece,

Originally, up to 2nd edition, I believe maybe 3rd edition, they were printed in Belgium. The foreign language versions are actually printed at Cartamundi's various locations worldwide. For more fun factage.

I'm guessing you mean Beta, Unlimited, and Revised..?

I guess that's what the kids call it these days. I think it was "revised," yeah.

I stopped collecting after the release of Ice Age and Alliances. I had no idea it would become what it is, now. I know that my parents regret not encouraging me to collect more. A friend of mine bought his house in cash by selling come of his older magic collection. We used to buy whole booster cases on the cheap at the swap meet.

I bought a play-set of Mox Diamonds (From the Vault: Relics) for $160 a year or so ago. They're worth $800 now (possibly $1k for the 4-piece set). Thinking about selling them off for some comics. 500% ROI is great.

They're on the Reserved List, though, so they might appreciate even more. Not sure when to sell them...

I think Magic: The Gathering has longevity, especially as long as Wizards/Hasbro continues to keep the game fresh with revamps, balancing and the robust tournament scene. So, it's not like waiting will necessarily decrease its value unless they do another release.

Being on the Reserved List eliminates this possibility. I may as well hang onto them a little longer.

They announced a couple years ago that they will not be removing any cards from that list again (they had removed cards before 2011, at the latest). Cards on the RL are banned from reprint unless it's an illegal format (collector editions or over-sized).

Anyways! Enough thread hijacking for now...
