Non gilded editions are to be printed by USPCC.MagikFingerz wrote:MPC - pass.

I'd bet pretty high since Costa's put in a lot of time & hard work to make this deck happen and has been sharing much of the process over the past few months with us in the deck drafting board here; even networking with the community to seek out feedback from members and help & advice from veteran designers/producers as well.Decknowledgy wrote:This campaign looks quite ambitious for a first-time creator... also his profile description sounds suspicious:

What are the chances of pulling this off and delivering?

Actually, looking at the campaign it seems there are 5 decks. Primordial Aether Standard (1500 print run) and Aehter Limited (500 print run gilded) both printed in US. Primordial Chaos Standard (1500 print run) and Chaos Limited (500 print run Red Gilded) both also printed in US. And then the Pantheon deck (200 print run) printed by MPC.guru wrote:Non gilded editions are to be printed by USPCC.MagikFingerz wrote:MPC - pass.

I guess my light-hearted sense of humour doesn't appeal to everyone thenDecknowledgy wrote:This campaign looks quite ambitious for a first-time creator... also his profile description sounds suspicious:

Thanks PipChick for the kind words, I wanted this to be an extra special project whereby I could have most off the special items and add-ons available from the offset rather then as stretch goals hence the higher target and having more experienced designers, such as Giovanni (Thirdway) there with me through the process to address any concerns I had or offer advice has been very helpful and insightful as well.PipChick wrote:I'd bet pretty high since Costa's put in a lot of time & hard work to make this deck happen and has been sharing much of the process over the past few months with us in the deck drafting board here; even networking with the community to seek out feedback from members and help & advice from veteran designers/producers as well.Decknowledgy wrote:This campaign looks quite ambitious for a first-time creator... also his profile description sounds suspicious:

I do agree that a huge project like this is quite an ambitious undertaking for a first-time creator, but he's also been pretty proactive in going the extra mile to ensure he can deliver a great deck and well put-together campaign and I'd like to think most intending to pull a scam wouldn't bother investing that kind of extra effort knowing that he'll be held to a much higher degree of accountability compared to if he had just decided to remain a stranger instead.

I bet high too. Known Costa as a playing card collector and have exchanged a few messages in last two years. The funding goal appear ambitious but then there are 5 decks on offer too.PipChick wrote:I'd bet pretty high since Costa's put in a lot of time & hard work to make this deck happen and has been sharing much of the process over the past few months with us in the deck drafting board here; even networking with the community to seek out feedback from members and help & advice from veteran designers/producers as well.Decknowledgy wrote:This campaign looks quite ambitious for a first-time creator... also his profile description sounds suspicious:

I totally missed that, though it could have been clearer ("Printed in USA" under each edition).guru wrote:Non gilded editions are to be printed by USPCC.MagikFingerz wrote:MPC - pass.

What are the chances of pulling this off and delivering?although this is the first time I've been referred to as a 'scammer' or 'suspect'

I agree 100%. This is an important detail! I backed what I hope is a USPCC deck (Primordial Aether Deck)...Decknowledgy wrote:@synedrionmg
Would it be better just to state USPCC/MPC under each respective deck?
Maybe speculators would be more reassured to become backers, as far as I know

+1 - definitely a small detail worth making explicitly clear as I too had second thoughts about how the ambiguity of 'made in the USA' opens interpretation to other, lesser printers when not stated USPCC.Decknowledgy wrote:@synedrionmg

I would recommend making it well known that (most of) these decks are being printed by USPCC. It's a major selling point and might help increase your backers.synedrionmg wrote:Sorry, my bad. Ignore the above - I've spotted what you are referring to and made the additional additions to the descriptions. Thank you for that, much appreciated

Gio and Sunish have been acting in an informal advisory capacity, it sounds. The artist has done some other well-received deck designs (e.g. Gentlemen, Hercules). And Sherman, of course, needs no introduction here. It's not surprising, given that kind of brain trust, that this doesn't feel like a first-time campaign.hsbc wrote:This is seriously impressive for a first-time creatorDice, pouches, coins, art prints, metal cards, card guard, carat cases.... There's been a gradual increase over the last day or so. I think it's at the slow build phase looking at the pattern as obviously the bulk of the pledges come in at the first few days of the project as a large number tend to jump in at the start of a campaign before I updated the manufacturer info to make it clearer. I couldn't say 100% if highlighting the manufacturers of the cards made a very huge difference but it's certainly possible for sure it could well be due to this, if so then great.Decknowledgy wrote:Did you see an acceleration in funding after putting USPCC made up front?
