D&D's "Not So Perfect" Sale

Unread post by vasta41 »

The actual playing cards being offered in this sale are perfectly fine and in the same condition you'd expect a new deck to be in. It is only the packaging that is flawed.

Each year we accumulate a large collection of decks, in which their condition does does not meet our high standards for retail. In fact, we carefully examine each deck shipped for the slightest imperfections, setting aside those "not so perfect". These are those decks.

If you're like us and cannot resit picking up a deck of cards every day, this is the perfect opportunity to stock up on cards you'll actually use at a fraction of their original price.

All purchases of this product are final.
Our "not so perfect" decks are offered in three tiers based on the level of defect and/or damage to the tuck case. It's important to note that with all these decks though, the actual playing cards within are perfectly usable and most likely have never been touched.

Pulled from a collection of over 200 unique designs, the deck(s) you get will be completely random. If you order more than one we will do our best to give you a variety of decks. Please, no special requests.

I took the weekend off from the internets, and now I'm bummed. I have enjoyed my purchases from these sales in the past. But, now, two days later, of course the workers and seconds are sold out. Alas.

From what I remember they are quite literally "like new" as in most of the time I really have to look carefully to figure out what if anything is wrong with them. And the value of the decks (as defined by what they sell them for normally on the site) is usually atleast double $7 so in that sense it is most definitely worth it.

On the other hand, particularly as a collector with a lot of decks I ask myself would I rather pay $15 dollars for a deck of my choice that I know I don't own or $14 dollars for two decks that I don't know if I will like them or if I already own them! So in that sense its really up to your judgement.

I for one like the "thrill" of getting random decks and have historically always gotten pretty lucky so I always jump on this sort of deal and then donate the duplicates to the UC deck of the year contest!
