@Pixel Initiative - I forgot to mention. I really like your back of card. That is a nice purple and very bold. So, you started the Kickstarter and hit the ground jogging. Just remember you need to be at 25% in the first week to succeed. It looks like you have done everything right and even got reviews from kardify and Max. That's a good thing.
USA backers might be put off by the pound, but you can't help that. It seems like your pledges are reasonable even with the world wide shipping. World wide shipping is kind of uncommon and USA backers might not know what to make of it. You might start getting spam from crowd funding sites that claim for only $300 we can contact thousands of backers who would love your cards. I think it's mostly a scam.
Promoting a project is difficult. I remember contacting 200 website and only 1 gave me a spot. 25% didn't respond, 25% said they don't do Kickstarters anymore, and the other 50% wanted a sample product to review. This is the best place for Kickstarter resources.
http://www.crowdcrux.com and you can gain the tools to do a free press release.

Totally agree with what Sprouts said about getting your funding numbers up... you might also try cross-promotions with other card deck projects - the ones running now which come to mind as also needing help/cross-promotion would be the Bicycle Casino deck, the Bicycle Ultimate Universe deck, and the Fair Play deck.

There is still popular requests to change the red colour so I've decided to consider a Kickstarter survey for colours to replace the red in the corner behind the Indices.

In retrospect, it wasn't really the bright red that was the problem for me, it was that it stood alone while the black suits were just... black.
So I would vote for either spades/clubs = blue and hearts/diamonds = red/pink, or make it a 4-color deck with something like spades = blue, clubs = purple, hearts = pink, diamonds = orange (might not be the best combo, but just as an example).

I vote for 4 different colors! Like UNO.

I got in on an early bird double pack. Great price! Wish other projects would take note. How about a card protector/coin? Try Coins for Anything, they are very good.

Hi,
yes I am interested in getting a coin. I would use the fish bone logo I think to compliment the deck well. I didn't know if it would be of interest but yes perhaps it is something to shoot for. Thanks for the link..

Fish on one side, bones on the other. I'd pledge for that in a heartbeat.

Hi, ok well here is a veeeeery rough idea roughly done on photoshop. It matches the back of the card so would sit perfectly.

I would take out the little hooks that are hanging over the edges obviously too.

I know it's just an early mockup, but the coin won't just be a flat print, right? It'll have relief and texture?

@Pixiel Initiative - Your at 25% and You got staff pick. Good job; wish I could throw a few bucks at Kickstarter and get staff pick. So, you got a vote going to engage backers and you did some press releases. That's like right out of the Kickstarter manual.
Just email your backers one day at a time

I know and have heard more than twice a day is spam to most people.

Unfortunately in most Kickstarters now starts the long "U" curve.

Where it slowly moves up at the end of the swipe.

Sometimes that swipe at the end is Big and huge.

YOu are defiantly doing better than most. I think you will make it...

Hi,
thanks yes, its been so interesting organising the campaigns so far. I am continuing to push this out to any blogs, newspapers magazines or forums to get an extra push during the U-curve, which I will not be deterred by

"Strong like Bull."
But I hit my 100th backer yesterday also which was nice to see.
Thanks for the continued support. You have all been really helpful so far.
Best

I REALLY like the front! But I feel there's too much text on the back.

I think one sided would work fine and t also keeps the cost down.... Do people think less of one sided coins...?

Speaking for myself, I'd prefer two sides over a blank side.

Not a fan of one sided coin unless it's an unusual shape that the image only fits one side. I like to fiddle with my card guard at the table from time to time, I know I shouldn't do it but I keep to it only when I've folded a hand. One sided coins are fun, just not as fun as double sided in my humble opinion.

I want to use the double fish logo one side and also the ace of spade fish hook design on the other side... I''m happy for double sided coin, would be more interesting this way, thanks for advise again.

Agree, the back isn't very "coin like."

Me too, I'm really swaying towards the ace of spade design one side with fish bone logo on the other.
