If it was offered for $10 over the standard version I might bite, but I am betting it will have a huge profit margin built on it. As you said, this design really doesn't scream for foil. Still, I will go for shiny stuff every time....even crap if the price is right.

The more I see these the more I dislike the entire idea - the design isn't what's important about the real 70s-era(?) Nuggets. Talk about missing the point Like I get it, someone thinks there's (a lot of?) money to be made here, but I can't see it as anything other than a cash grab. I almost hope these don't get funded for that reason but they'll probably hit 100% on day one

1. If it's a foil, it looks so cheap and plastic.

2. If the same EPCC Rainbow foil is used in this deck, it's even worse. Rainbow's fan is uneven for a deck out of the box.

3. IMHO: in terms of design/vibe Gemini Casino decks by Toomas Pinston are much better. Probably Jerry's Nugget name means nothing for me

That is going to be interesting. They try to build hype for the regular sets, but the preview sets are likely to have the resale value, not the main release...another reason to sit back. Growing up in Texas, I am not really impressed by oil derricks...unless they are on my land.

The thought occurred to me that they might sell some preview sets during the KS campaign. Anyway, I would not drop coin on eBay until we know.

Heck, could go either way...

Seems that no one knows exactly anymore. The estimated guess from Lee Asher's website is that the green ones, printed by Arcco, where made between 1964-1976.

Yah, the ones printed by Arrco. But there is aswell a fake green version of the USPC JNs out there. Infos on the original Arcco's JN are pretty rare.

I am not surprised at all. I am sure some will bite, but not me. To get something really llimted of a design or deck I really like, that is tempting. Rarity for rarity's sake, not so much. However, it does remind me that some really uninteresting US Mint Collective coins didn't sell when they were issued, so the mintage is insanely low, now those coins sell for a fortune. Luckily, that doesn't really translate to this situation. I guess there will also be a super exclusive set of 10, 5 and 3. Maybe 20. Let's see how many we can make. Different color stickers? If they run out of ideas, they can hire Natalia Silva.

Edit: As I look at the sticker the words are run together. As I read it, I get "Jerry' Snuggets".

It's not the seal I hate! EPCC and JN are really pulling out all the stops for these decks (JR seals! Gentleman Wake videos!) and it's frustrating because I really hate this reprint

Just look at it that way, they supported Jackson because they paid him to design the seal (I assume). Which is a good thing. And Omar gets more subscribers when he puts out more videos, therefore it supports his channel. Yah, it'll bring more attention to the reprint, but it is talked about anyways, therefore it is better if artists/people you like/suppport are able to get a piece of the pie aswell.
I couldn't care less about original Jerry's Nuggets and I couldn't care less about the reprints, as an outside spectator it is kind of funny to see how all the hype/craze is created.

This video talks about the market aftermath that might happen or is already happening following the release of tomorrow's JN campaign. It's very thorough and touches on why the reprint has both massive pros and cons for the JN brand of decks.

In my opinion, these are NOT REPRINTS. As we know, these will not be made like the earlier decks so I wouldn't call these reprints. Also, these are not being produced for and sold by Jerry's Nugget casino as the original decks were. With this deck, the producers are simply licensing the artwork. I would not even use the term reproduction due to the differences compared to the originals. The best term for these might be tribute decks.

Edit: Nope sorry, 6th most funded. Kickstarter does not display Albino Dragons The Name of the Wind deck in their most funded list for some reason. That one is the 2nd most funded playing card project ever, Mint 2 is 3rd, Arcana is 4th, The Apothecary 2 is 5th.
