I don't know. I liked both movies. But, after the oppression and dread of the Barbie movie, Oppenheimer was a great, optimistic film to kind of cleanse the palette.

Both movies were well made, both had their points, and both were entertaining. In all seriousness, though, Oppenheimer was the best movie I've seen in a couple years. Barbie was great, don't get me wrong, but Oppenheimer was Great-with-a-capital-G.

Oppenheimer was indeed impressive. Life writes the best stories. Not to mention that as an anarchist I love to see how governments treat their war heros like Turring and Oppenheimer. Always a nice reminder that a) governments are full of shit and b) governments are full of shit.
Cast was nuts, haha. Like every scene a new character was introduced me buddy and I were like, "A that guy from X" or "Where do I know that guy from?". Was interesting for me how the cast broke the immersion for me quite a couple of times but then the movie managed to pull me in every time again.
One of the best for sure. Christopher Nolan fails to disappoint but personally I still liked Interstellar and Tenet more. Not to mention that Dune somehow blew me away. Can't really tell you why since I never read the novels or had any relationship to that universe prior other than knowing it's considered a Sci-Fi classic.

I wasn't aware the future tasted fruity. When they say co-created with AI, do they mean the packaging or the flavor itself?

Dunno if I'm more turned off by the AI hype or if overusage of diffraction foil on cards is still my biggest pet peeve.
For now diffraction overusage is still in the lead I think.

I assumed - and often in life my assumptions turn out to be true but it's dangerous to think that they are true by default so asking never hurt nobody.
For the record I'm not wanting to win last post...

I've watched The Creator and would highly recommend it. Nice setting and story. Some minor flaws, which brake the immersion once or twice but still a great flick to watch.

The Ashoka series was a step up from the recent Star Wars TV shows, FWIW. I'm now binge watching The Morning Show because it was recommended to me, and I'm shocked at how good the writing is, and at how well it susses out complex issues surrounding the #metoo movement and corporate shenanigans without being a one-sided, man-bashing hatefest. I mean, it really does take the complexities very seriously, and acknowledges that most (but not all!) interactions fall on a sliding scale in the gray zone, and the dialog is <chef's kiss>.

Yes. It's very worth watching. Though as it's essentially a live action continuation of the Rebels animated show, I would STRONGLY recommend watching that first. Though it's very worth it too.

Since I'm just a Star Wars casual, without the intention of changing that status, I'm not catching up on older stuff - too much out there. But I enjoyed most of the recent movies so I'll see what my supplier can do about Ashoka.

Ironically, having noted that the most recent Star Wars show is pretty decent and that I am currently intrigued by Loki Season 2, I am nonetheless letting my subscription to Disney+ expire in mid-November because the rates are going up by, oh, 75% or so since the last time I made my annual contribution.

Let the thinning of the streaming services begin!
