It's too bad the Seattle Seahawks weren't contenders this year for the playoffs, but my hometown team from where I grew up is in the playoffs, so

GO BILLS!!!

Besides the Cowboys losing to the refs, the games today were the only enjoyable ones of the play-offs so far. Loads of play-off teams were underperforming this year.
I would be ashamed to be a Cardinals fan, if I wasn't used to them falling off a cliff every last quarter of the regular season and play-offs.

Crossing me fingers for the Bills as well. Nothing to not love about that team. Coach goes for 4th downs twice during the 1st quarter. Quarterback that has a cannon of an arm, runs physical, great sense of hunour, ...

Xi Jinping is a bad joke as is the general vaccination mandate in Austria that got passed today. Poor performance.

I try not to talk politics here, but I'll just leave this here anyway: my heart goes out to anyone in my community (and if you're reading this, you're a part of my community) and their families who have any ties to Ukraine while Putin's military invades and attempts to occupy.

My heart also goes out to anyone in my community and their families with ties to Russia who oppose this invasion.

While this was almost certainly inevitable, it is nonetheless brutal, cruel, faithless, immoral, illegal, and despicable.

As long as people pay their taxes and don't reform their consciousness, this will be inevitable indeed.

Funny thing is, people will still excuse the horrors of governments as a necessity - unable to realize that governments cause these conflicts and don't protect us from them. Same goes for the glorification of the military/police - looking at ...
... well, too many on that list.

Ironically, I came here hoping nobody would have posted something about the Ukraine war. Because I wanted to post a random Lego picture of two sets I was going to build, and would have found it tasteless to post a picture of Lego after a serious and sincere post. But f-it; here's the picture anyways:

I'm glad you posted this, and... wow. That looks like a helluva huge project, and a whole lot of fun.

If we stopped doing fun or cool things because there is sh*tf*ckery going on somewhere in the world, we would never, ever have cool or fun things.

I rail at the sh*tf*ckery of Putin and his military. I rail at all the injustice in this world.

But, I still want to collect awesome playing cards and I still want to see the results of your massive Lego project. Please, keep sharing it.

Yeah, you're right. My bad. I'm actually mildly surprised that sailed past the little censorbot thingy that's built into this forum, but looking at how it works, I see what happened. I have self-censored the offending words so as to not put myself above the law.

Also, I don't give a smurf if you indulge. But, I suppose I shouldn't encourage it, either.

Alas.

It really makes no sense. Like, I could understand a hesitancy to switch to a new system, like imperial to metric, because it changes so much. But taking away DST would just make everything simpler, right? No drawbacks from just removing it, no more setting clocks, just... Yeah, I don't get it.

I like DST. It's a perfect example for the retardation and sluggishness of governments.

On a playing cards-related note, after a few years of procrastination, I have finally completed my KWP collection. It's basically all of JR's non-Bicycle and non-subscription decks, with the exception of Intaglio and Fed 52 V2.

Does it include the commisioned decks?

Do you mean ones like 52+ Joker, Skulls & Bones, and Liberty?

Yah, or the Pops deck, Double Eagle, the three he did for the country music guy and this horrible other deck.

I don't have any of these ones you've mentioned.

I think that I have all of his commissioned decks that were designed prior to his subscription services. It was then that I realized his catalogue would explode beyond my interests. So, my KWP collection is only about 60 decks. However, it does include the Federal 52 foiled series.

The only KWP decks that I would plan on buying in the future are those he may campaign for on Kickstarter, as I have all of his KS decks minus the 2 mentioned earlier.

His literary "shorts," like Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan and Romeo & Juliet, et al, are definitely worth having. Those will continue as his Club 13 deck series, and won't be on KS. I recommend them for your consideration for your JR collection. :)

As a 'completionist', I simply wouldn't be able to consider it. There are 'logical' reasons that I am able to leave Intaglio and F52v2 off of my checklist. I wouldn't feel comfortable with picking-and-choosing which sub decks to collect.

All of that being said, this is regarding my sealed collection. I may consider picking up some of his other decks, such as those you suggested, to open. I've never bought only 1 deck before.

Whenever I did (only buy 1) I often did regret it in the past. Now I'm completely healed from the card bug and pick and choose however I feel.

I simply started buying 2 because I expected to open the second one in the future. That's not likely to happen, though, as I don't play card games nearly as often.

I bought multiples to be sure to have a supply as well. Now I have so many decks that I won't go through them in two lifetimes, lol.

Don't judge: I'm in a QAnon text group only because I enjoy being acquaintances with all of the guys involved. Apparently they believe that the conflict is fictional and created by mainstream media. Mainstream media sucks, but the fact that they believe its all a conspiracy is quite jarring. I can't even think of what to say in order to lead them back to reality.

I like how mainstream media is suspect to most tinfoil hats but a random, secondary internet source with no evidence is treated like Gospel.
The only thing leading them back to reality is a bullet...

Get it? Lead - bullet...
