Thanks atz Looking at the WOPC link, there must also be an English edition somewhere

Edit: WRONG if you look at the Index you will see 'English Version' listed at pg 124 and the WOPC english index pic can be seen to be half way through the book (pg 127)

I tried to make a display of these Randy Aces, I mean Randy Butterfield Aces of course, but they don't really stay in place in their acrylic frame - a carat x 3 case might be the solution

I am not really into typography and I do not buy mystery decks but every now and then I will add a deck that I know very little about to a large order and that is the case with with this 2012 deck still available from X-Decks. They are Piatnik so they are not a deck that you buy for their handling.

Westerns are my first, second and third favourite movie genre
So when I saw this framed swapcard (single) on Etsy, I had to investigate

I quickly got my own single (Oz is a good source of swapcards) which I will also frame
And I have a whole deck on the way

The cowboys are part of a 1933 Waddington series.
I know it comes in gold too and I have seen a bedouin on a camel in Ken Lodge's collection on WOPC - the border and metallic look are the distinguishing features

I am wanting to tap into the many knowledgeable ones that frequent our forum
My above 'Cowboy' deck arrived (the name is my choosing as I have little info on the deck)
It came in a Duty wrapper (no tuck) - sealed and still enclosed in some yellowed cellophane.
Do you think this was its original wrapping?
Maybe Waddington's are not highly regarded but I find it surprising that I could buy a 93yo deck in original condition for just £18

The wrapper fits in with those shown at the bottom of this WOPC link which correspond to the most probable time of printing - 1933

ps I slit open the wrapper and removed the brittle cellophane and you can tell that these gilded cards have never been open

I'd say the cello was indeed its original wrapping.

Something interesting I came across but didn't check any further; Ken Lodge mentions, that the bedouin on a camel is made by Waddington for Wills, so probably part of the Wills/Waddington gift scheme. He hasn't listed that design in any of the other articles around that topic, but I think it's very likely that the cowboy is also part of this scheme. The leather box from the offer above also seems to fit those in the advertisements.

I bought a couple of these Nicky Bird 2008 Piatnik decks, still available from WOPC's Roddy Somerville for < £6ea. I thought they could go alongside my Chet Phillips matchbox decks. They are only Piatniks but for this price so long after release, I am pretty happy with them.

I decided to use my freebie cards (mostly Thank You singles) to make a mix myself
I think I could break into the Asian market with my 'Bicycle Beijing Opera'

I mentioned in Sinecure's current drafting thread that tucks can influence my buying decisions.
I thought I would scan a few favourites.
They cannot simply be a representation of the card backs, which I think most of us like to see on the back of the tucks
I would still have bought at least half of these regardless of their tucks
I have shown the back of the Muffins tuck as I like the gimmick - you can guess what the front looks like
