Re: "Stop War"
Thank you! I don't want to overload either. Maybe there will be some more adjustments. But I think it's minor. Maybe something in this style to give the letters volume.

A minor shift might be to move 2023 to the bottom along with all the other information that would typically go there. Printer, artist, etc.

ok...I don't know how well you can continue that to the other aces...but that really works.

I value consistency in theme, Ive be very disappointed to see a cheery sunny day card in this deck.RutaChervona wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 4:38 pmI'm going to have to try hard not to stray from the overall concept of the deck.
That card is probably your best yet, now you have to work to make an even better one.

I was going to ask but I tracked it down. For those curious - Ace of Diamonds is the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa

You are absolutely right! It was decided to take as a basis historical objects or objects that caused a huge catastrophe for man.

Re: "Stop War"
I would be as surprised as you are to "see" a fun card in this deck! The most encouraging thing here is probably the girl drawing sunflowers while looking at the ruined houses on the back of the box (there will still be some minor changes).Evilgamer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 5:27 pmI value consistency in theme, Ive be very disappointed to see a cheery sunny day card in this deck.RutaChervona wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 4:38 pmI'm going to have to try hard not to stray from the overall concept of the deck.

I thought the sunflower drawing was amazing. In war, this girl is trying to create beauty amid disaster. Shows human resilience and longing for a better day.

Re: "Stop War"
This is obviously a very serious issue but as you are creating a deck of playing cards, I would ask "how much pain will people want to buy?"

Re: "Stop War"
I understand that for you this deck has an aesthetic character. And you're wondering if it will fit into your interiors and card collection. For me, this deck is the cry of my torn soul, where every day there is shelling of my country... where people are being destroyed, children. Someone may cynically remark that wars in other countries didn't bother you... Perhaps he will be right! But when the war came to my country, my city and my home. I realized in full measure all the horror that war brings! And, through my cards, I shout STOP WAR! Yes, some may try to hide from this information... But I do what's in my heart. Expressing it in my work... There's a wonderful proverb: "Do what you have to do! And be what you will!"

Re: "Stop War"
And yes, these cards are hard! But they show that people, in spite of the difficulties that have fallen on them, show the will!!! And the will to live, to create and to help! If you are among those who have shrunk and hid from the war! I sincerely pity you! I am among those who go against fate! You and I are not on the same path! This deck is not for you!

Re: "Stop War"
I do not assume to know you, you should not assume to know me. I hope you consider a book about Stop War as IMHO I feel this medium (which I also collect) is more suited to what you are trying to achieve

Re: "Stop War"
True but the True Skys went for plenty of beauty. I was just thinking about getting funded in terms of balancing the anguish. I am not saying to go totally the way of The Butterfly cards for the Ukraine just some hope like the sunflowers card

Re: "Stop War"
Ruta your deck is full of beautiful art and a powerful message. I think we misunderstood each other earlier, I think it might be that the anguished woman on your tuck actually upsets me

Re: "Stop War"
It's possible! It's just that wars have become commonplace for all of us, as we see them in films in various online games. By this, I think to state the important things that are happening in the world, you have to actually shout out to get people to pay attention to it... Or whisper... But change your habitual voice! After all, isn't anyone surprised by the shards? It symbolises people's skulls! That's why I show the pain, the suffering of war! They are frightening and repulsive, but at the same time they encourage us to think about what is happening! Perhaps my words were harsh, which stirred your mind and made you look at my work differently. If so, it means that I was able to get my point across. And I am sincerely glad that you were able to look at my work from a different angle! With sincere respect! And I am grateful that you have a flexible mind!
