Having received the uncut tuck of Sins Reborn, I can strongly recommend it. The tuck is just insane. In going back and seeing this photo, it really does highlight the holofoil used and how it looks a bit in person. holo foil though is tough to really experience by just a photo, but this does a good job. It is more than holo foil for sure. The regular hot foil as well as the crazy texture and inks used are just amazing and builds a total package that is really special.

The best holo I've ever seen was Branle Tesoro Diamant. This seems similar based on the photo, so it looks like I may have to get at least one. Your reaction has a lot of merit, seeing as you're a veteran collector and have seen a lot of decks.

I'd love to have gotten uncuts but I bought some from Gio before and they came slightly damaged with how he shipped it. I might consider taking the risk for a pair of those.

Thanks Vasta for listing the sale. I picked up three sets of the Sins Legacy. Having seen the uncut tuck, it was on my must have list. As I am insane Patron, I am getting so many TWI Decennio Soledoro and Casino Paradiso Starlet, it would just be obscene for me to get more than I am already receiving...not that this has stopped me in the past....

32€ for a legacy, hmmm.... Starlett for 52€...gee... I can wait for sales or monster boxes. I don't understand these prices for rebooted cards with edge print and new tuck. I also don't get the evaluations for the 10th year anniversary deck or the Paradiso deck. These are all very high priced and so I wonder if WJPC has raised their prices or maybe it's just the hype built up that has demanded these quotes. On a side note, Bradius, what do you do with all your duplicates? Are you really going through that many decks because of wear and tear or maybe you have an ebay shop or possibly some other explanation?

What show are you waiting for? Is it insulting to give my opinion that the prices are high and then give a couple examples of why that might be? I don't want to cause an uprise. Is it not possible to say something is overpriced without it leading to arguments?

With playing cards, any deck is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If Gio has found a sweet spot where people will buy his decks at these prices, then he will sell them at these prices.

I myself find the prices to be too high for me, but he's got a loyal fanbase that supports him.

While I'm not a patron and am very selective with my TWI decks, I have to give the man props.

Lol, I thought that response was waiting for Bradius to explain why he buys multiple copies of decks. I mean what sort of madman does that?!? Smh. :)

I was just super curious in how Bradius would respond - honestly no expectation any which way - pretty much what brownsi said

Hello, some various insights and considerations about how I chose the pricing of these preorders.

One thing that probably wasn't communicated too well is that Decennio and Casino Paradiso - apart from the custom boxes - have hotfoil on cards: specifically 2 colors on Decennio's back and back and front on Casino Paradiso. This has always been a very big deal, that increase substantially the production price, especially on low runs (the other thing that influence the production price very heavily).

My pics are not that good, but the hot foil used on cards is exceptional - almost perfect registration and fantastic "texture" / detail, I am very impressed about how good WJPC and Kingstar printed these.
I remember 2015 when use 2 hotfoils on card backs was almost "impossible" to do :-) (not that it was, just card companies were not really ready).

Both Decennio and Paradiso are Patreon decks - that means that around 400 copies of each are pre-booked, so I have very few units to sell post Patreon.
Also, usually Patreon-related decks are on the luxury/experimental side, and Kickstarter ones are usually affordable.

About SINS Legacy, the production process for these is extremely complicated and expensive. Not only for the materials used (the box is made with 2 layer of luxury paper glued together, embossed, TRIPLE foiled on one side and DOUBLE foiled on the other) but also for the logistics involved. These are edge printed in Italy, which means I had to bring the cards here (shipping cost, taxes), assembled here (and I had to rely on Jocu assistance to cellowrap these properly, which mean another shipping and other costs) and ship these back in the USA for shipping (other costs, other taxes). Of course the laquered edge printing itself is a very expensive process as well.

I'm not even sure how the production price of a single SINS Legacy deck is at this point :-)

Honestly I evaluated to launch SINS Legacy with an higher price seeing how much they costed me, but people were excited about these and I didn't want set a "price barrier" too high at launch. I'm glad I did.

Also please notice that shipping is very low or even free for USA (I always embed a part of the shipping cost in the deck, I think it's easy/better).

I hope these considerations makes sense!

Thanks for the feedback and have a great day!

Giovanni

As for me, I am a 4x patron. When I pay that annually, my cost gets really sweet. I also have an Early member subscription, which is at the same average cost as the 4x, so I am 5x at a really low cost per deck. It is probably the lowest cost anyone is likely to get. Honestly, I am not sure the rate is much better than an average patron, just a little bit. His Kickstarter EB stuff is a little lower, but if you miss them, his regular price isn't much more such that it shouldn't bother someone IMHO. Anyway, as Patron, I am getting 5 each of the Decennio and Casino Paradiso decks. My appetite for more at just about any price given that I am already getting 5 each is limited. But, I am in a rather unique situation.

Keep in mind also that those two decks are basically Patreon only decks, so not a ton of general sales directly from Gio for them. Gio is always going to sell them at a premium. He doesn't have a lot of them and will eventually sell them. Deal with it. Anyway, up to you. As my Patreon package is kinda hard to figure out per deck. I didn't find the decks too bad given everything.

Given that the Sins Legacy is just a new tuck on a deck I have multiple of is really something I would generally pass on or just get one set. The fact that I shelled out for 3 sets in my book is a result if me REALLY liking that tuck. Bling will get me in. So, that ended up being roughly $200 for six decks shipped. That seemed fair enough to me for them. I couldn't justify going for more, so that was my balancing point.

Anyway, my rationality for what it is worth. If someone else thinks it is crazy stupid expensive, that doesn't deter me much. Good on you. You do you.

A TWI Patron Service Message:

A standard TWI Patreon reward last year was everything below. The cost is $30/month or $360, but that can go down to $324 if you pay annually rather than monthly. I think it is a great way to build a TWI collection, but doesn't include his Kickstarter stuff and a few others. Still, if you like TWI, it seems like a no-brainer way to go.

Does anyone else think that 30$ usd is an unreasonable asking price for damaged Paradiso decks? I am curious of how others see it. No judgment against, just honest opinions please.

I don't see why I'd pay $30 for a damaged modern deck. If it was vintage or antique, I may be more forgiving.

Nope. If you are needing something, you can PM me. I don't often sell stuff as it is almost impossible anymore for me to find anything. But, it never hurts.

Oh, Kevork, I found that extra S17 beer glass if you still want it.
